Alvin Anderson, Noted Baltimore Boxer, Passes!

Sad news to report.  Baltimore, MD fan favorite boxer Alvin Anderson passed away this past weekend.

Mr. Anderson was a well-known and popular junior middleweight boxer from 1967-1980 in which he had a won-loss record of 30-11-13, 18 KO's.  Mr. Anderson was trained by the legendary Mack Lewis and was a top 10 contender.  Some of Mr. Anderson's more notable battles came against the likes of Adrian Davis, Dale Staley, Mike Baker and former world champion Ayub Kalule.

Mr. Anderson's homegoing service will take place on Tuesday, June 23 at 1 PM at Joseph H. Brown Funeral Home, located at 2140 N. Fulton Avenue in Baltimore.
