Nicholson Scores Fifth-Round TKO In Philadelphia; Rodriguez Falls in Four!

Laurel, MD middleweight Demond "D Best At It" Nicholson scored a fifth-round TKO over German Perez of Mexico tonight at the Stadium Holiday Inn in Philadelphia, PA.

According to Fightnews.com's John DiSanto, Nicholson dropped Perez in the fifth round with a left hook.  Perez got up but referee Benji Esteves stopped the contest at 2:33.

Nicholson is now 13-1, 13 KO's while Perez falls to 11-2-3, three KO's.

Also on this card, Haymarket, VA junior welterweight Juan "The Savior" Rodriguez lost by fourth-round knockout to undefeated Miguel Cruz of Lake Mary, FL.  Cruz stopped Rodriguez with a flurry of punches followed by a right hand at 2:04.  Rodriguez falls to 6-3-1, five KO's while Cruz is 9-0, eight KO's.
