Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, Beltway Boxers D'Mitrius "Big Meech" Ballard and Lamont Roach, Jr. remained undefeated with solid victories.
Ballard of Temple Hills, MD raised his record to 8-0, seven KO's with a third-round stoppage of Tylon Burris of Hartford, CT. Ballard dropped Burris in the first and third rounds. Another knockdown in the second was caused by a Ballard low blow. After the third-round knockdown, the bout was stopped at 2:57. Burris's record falls to 5-3, three KO's.
Roach of Upper Marlboro, MD won a four-round unanimous decision over Alexander Charneco of Puerto Rico. Roach won by scores of 40-34 and 40-35 (twice) to lift his record to 5-0, two KO's while Charneco loses his first pro bout after two previous wins.
I like the way Team NoXcuse are moving both D'Mitrius "Big Meech" Ballard and Lamont Roach, Jr. They are keeping them busy while moving them at the right speed to get them where they need to be. Congratulations to both of the fighters on their wins.
