Nicholson, Sigmon Suffer TKO Losses In Chicago!

We are just getting underway here at Constitution Hall.  However, there is big news coming out of the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL.  The news is not good.

Laurel, MD middleweight Demond "D Best At It" Nicholson suffered his first pro loss tonight as he was stopped in the sixth round by Lekan Byfield of Atlanta, GA.  No details yet but Nicholson is now 10-1, 10 TKO's.  Byfield is now 6-5-1 and scored his first pro knockout.

Also tonight, Scott "Cujo" Sigmon was stopped in the eighth round by Caleb Truax.

  1. It's not the loss that concerns me because losing is pary of the sport. I'm just concerned about how Nicholson can bounce back after a loss like this. With the team he has and the gym he trains out of I think he will be able to continue his career at a steady pace. It's all up to Demond and his mental strength that will keep him focused and make him move on to the next fight without thinking of the loss but make him learn from it. Keep training hard and fighting hard. Your future is still ahead of you. Successful fighters learn from their mistakes.
