In our first pro contest here in Baltimore, Stephon "Flash" McDonald has won a four-round split decision over Sydney McCow.
Tough bout for both men as each had their moments and also had prolonged moments of inactivity. McDonald had a flurry late in the contest that may have tipped the bout in his favor.
Judges John Gradowski and Bill Clancy scored the bout 39-37 for McDonald while Don Risher saw the same score for McCow.
McDonald remains undefeated at 4-0, two KO's while McCow is 0-2.
Up next, Ivan Baranchyk of Brooklyn, NY (2-0-1, two KO's) faces Christopher Haney of Mt. Prospect, IL (0-1). A junior welterweight four-round bout.
