Update on November 15 Patriot Center Card!

There's a lot of movement as we update the Patriot Center card for Saturday, November 15.

WIBA Welterweight champion Tori "Sho Nuff" Nelson of Ashburn, VA has an opponent for her title defense on this card.  The undefeated Nelson will face Victoria "La Reina De Guerra" Cisneros of Albuquerque, NM in a 10-round contest.  This will be Nelson's fourth title defense this year.

Cisneros (11-16-2, four KO's) will be participating in a world title bout for the sixth time in her career including her last four appearances.  Cisneros has faced a who's who of prominent female boxers including Holly Holm, Cecilia Braekhus, Chevelle Hallback and Mary McGee.

Also, Upper Marlboro, MD heavyweight Mike Balogun has been added to the card.  The former NFL linebacker made his pro debut on October 23 and scored a second-round TKO in Washington, DC.

Two Beltway Boxers who were scheduled to be on the card will not participate.  Former WBO Junior Welterweight champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley could not get a suitable opponent and Todd "White Lightning" Wilson hurt his ankle in training.

Ronald Hearns is also off the card and he will be replaced in his bout against Jonathan Reid by Thomas Brown of York, SC (15-4-2, nine KO's).

  1. It's just close to two years for this much anticipated rematch. I think this is a fight for the fans of Jimmy Lange because of the results from the first fight. That doesn't mean that Jeter will not come out and put the same effort or ever a better effort to get a win. Lange will be very hungry because Jeter has what Lange wants and that a "win". wILL THE FIGHTERS BE READY? My answer to that question is you never can be ready for a fight like this because you never know what to expect from each fighter. You make the adjustments you need to make as the fight goes on. So you just train hard and prepare to fight. November 15th will be a huge night of boxing for the Beltway Boxing area!
