The Jeter Promotions/RBA Promotions card on Saturday, October 11 at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA has what should be an interesting bout between two out-of-town boxers.
Philadelphia, PA featherweight "The American Idol" Tevin Farmer will take on Dominic Coca of Watts, CA in an eight-round contest.
Farmer (16-4-1, three KO's) is coming off winning his first 10-round encounter, scoring a unanimous decision over previously undefeated Emanuel Gonzalez on June 5 in Boston, MA. Farmer is currently riding a nine-bout winning streak.
Farmer has fought in the Beltway region before -- his first two pro contests took place in Maryland. Farmer lost his pro debut to Oscar Santana by fourth-round TKO in Baltimore in February of 2011, then defeated Angelo Ward in April of that year by unanimous decision in Millersville.
Coca (8-9, two KO's) will be trying to break a seven-bout losing streak including a six-round unanimous decision loss to Cesar Villarraga on July 25 in Ontario, CA. This will be only the second time Coca has fought on the East Coast of the US.
The main event on this card remains the six-round rematch for the Virginia State Junior Welterweight title between Yurii Polischuk and Benjamin Olinga.
