IBF Junior Welterweight champion Lamont Peterson will return to action in a title defense on Saturday, August 9 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. No word yet on whom Peterson's opponent will be.
The bout will be the co-feature to the IBF Welterweight title bout between champion Shawn Porter and challenger Kell Brook. The card will be televised by Showtime.
Peterson (32-2-1, 16 KO's) made the second successful defense of his title in his last outing on January 25 at the DC Armory when he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Dierry Jean.

ReplyDeleteAlantez's fight has already been announced. He is fighting John Thompson (14-1, 5 ko's) on ShoBox July 25th. Danny Garcia is last fighting August 9th in Brooklyn so could be unification with Peterson or seperate bouts in which that case the leading contender for Garcia is Gabriel Bracero (23-1, 4 ko's) a fellow Puerto Rican who lives in Brooklyn.
