Baltimore, MD junior welterweight Kevin "The Scarecrow" Womack, Jr. was stopped in the third round Thursday night by undefeated Arturo Trujillo of Easton, PA at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, PA.
According to noted boxing writer Jack Obermayer, Womack faced a very tall opponent who was very busy. In the third round, Trujillo launched a volley that dropped Womack to the canvas. Womack did get up at six but was ruled unfit to continue and the bout was stopped at 2:05.
Womack has now lost two straight by knockout and is winless in his last six contests. His record is now 4-5-1, two KO's. Trujillo is now 5-0, three KO's.
Maybe it's time to start thinking about a career change
