Al Haymon Continues Raid of Beltway Boxing Region; Peterson Brothers Are Newest Signees!

If he didn't have so many boxers under contract around the world, we would think that uber-boxing manager Al Haymon would open a satellite office somewhere in the Beltway Boxing region.

Fighthype.com is reporting that both Peterson Brothers -- IBF Junior Welterweight champion Lamont and soon-to-return-to-action Anthony -- have both signed with Haymon.  The brothers join a growing Beltway Haymon stable that includes Gary Russell, Jr., Thomas Williams, Dominic Wade, Gervonta Davis and Kareem Martin.

Lamont Peterson now has opportunities for rematches with fellow Haymon signees Amir Khan and Lucas Matthysse among others.  Anthony Peterson will be fighting on ESPN2 on Friday, March 21 against Marco Jimenez.  We'll give a full preview on that bout later this weekend.

  5. Mr. Hunter, too me if a fine trainer for he took the gym from almost nothing looked out for those kids in an area were the government would rather build prisons than help the kids with a outlet for their talents and gave those kids hope and had a champion out of the bunch. Tell me dmv could some of the so called white trainer do that? The answer is hell no, they would rather do a Tony Jeter and buy their way too the top and then get exposed as soon as they get hit. Keep up the good work Mr. Hunter may God keep smiling on your fighter Peace and love.

  7. Juan is right! Jeter purchased his way to the top and Dusty got knocked on his ass. Barry Hunter is an excellent trainer and has help thousands of kids in his gym. There's more to the story concerning the Peterson brothers. They will be with Barry 4-Life.

  8. No BS. And then Team Jeter and Team Dusty get their feelings hurt because Juan tells it like it is. If they can't take the heat, get out the kitchen.

  12. Barry just saw money that he could make thru gaining the kids trust, hoping that they would turn pro. He's stealing money from parks and rec. and parents. park and rec pays for team trips and Barry still charges the kids parents for the trips, check it out. Then win you turn pro he what's 45% without taking a blow. The new fake ass Don King! I Love You, as he always says!

  13. 45% I don't believe that! I'm really hoping that what you are saying is wrong because you are really trying to damage his name.
