Jeremy "The Truth" Trussell has won a six-round split decision over a game Greg "Hot-Shot".Hackett.
Quite honestly, the bout looked like a lot of bouts where Hackett made things competitive while trying to survive. However, Hackett did land enough to gain the nod on one scorecard, 57-56.
What probably gave Trussell the nod was scoring a knockdown in the final round as Trussell landed shots to the body and head and sat Hackett down against the ropes. Referee Dave Braslow ruled it a knockdown. Trussell won by scores of 59-54 and 57-56.
Trussell remains undefeated at 7-0, five KO's. Hackett drops to 2-15.
In the ring now: "Relentless" Julius Kennedy faces Ievgen Khytrov. Six rounds super middleweight.
A split against Hackett? Trussell needs work !!
