Lockett, Scott Close Out Armory Card with Victories!

Beltway Boxers Willis "The Prophet" Lockett of Takoma Park, MD and Zakki Scott of Temple Hills, MD closed out the card at the DC Armory with unanimous decision victories.

Lockett won a six-round decision over Julius Fogle of Cary, NC.  Overall, a very pedestrian contest where Lockett was busier than the game Fogle.  Judge Paul Wallace saw a shutout for Lockett at 60-54, Lloyd Scaife saw the contest 59-55 while judge Wayne Smith registered a 58-56 decision.

Lockett creeps back over the .500 mark with a record of 13-12-5, five KO's.  Fogle falls to 16-10, 11 KO's.

Scott won a four-round decision over Franklin Edmondson of Durham, NC, who accepted this contest late Thursday evening.   Scott was able to land punches frequently although very few were damaging.  Edmondson had little defense against Scott's output.  All three judges scored a shutout for Scott.  Wallace and Scaife scored the contest 40-36 while judge Smith saw a 40-35 score despite no knockdowns in the contest.

Scott remains undefeated at 4-0, one KO while Edmondson falls to 14-41-1, five KO's.

  1. Edmondson so old he may be eligible for social security... one win in his last 21 fights -- spanning nine years. Is now 14-41-1, Stopped 14 times. Born in a year ending in 1. Partial to the numbers 4 and 1. Also partial to losing...

  2. It was sad to see that half of the people left before the main event. Willis Lockett vs Julius Fogle was an excellent fight. Cassandra White was very professional and stayed on top of everything. The show went on very smooth and there was no problem what so ever. Very entertaining night, than you Cassandra.
