Womack Drops Close Unanimous Decision!

Kevin Womack has lost a four-round unanimous decision to Semajay Thomas.  Womack dropped Thomas in the first round with a short left hand and gained an advantage.

However, Womack couldn't follow up on his advantage as Thomas became the aggressor and had Womack backpedaling at times throughout the contest.

All three judges scored the bout 38-37, giving the last three rounds to Thomas. Womack falls to 4-3-1, two KO's.  Thomas is now 2-0.

Up next: 2008 US Olympian Raynell Williams of Cleveland, OH (2-0, two KO's) vs. William Stimmel of Muskogee, OK (1-2, one KO).  Four rounds, lightweights.

  2. The judges were all local judges. It was a fair score.

  3. Gary: why did the main event not include at least one local official? Who made that decision?

  4. Womack opponent was out of Mayweather's camp. Boxrec didn't even put that there was a knock down. But really it was 2 and one was not counted. smh

  5. Gary is that true there was two knockdowns. I check boxrec also and nothing reported that there were any.

  6. Why local judges only on undercard and not one in main event?

  7. There was only one knockdown registered on the scorecards. Womack won the first round, 10-8. Thomas won the other three, 10-9.

As far as the main event, that was the IBF's decision on the judges.

  10. Gary, I believe that the local boxing commission has the final decision on the referee and judges for ALL bouts. Sanctioning bodies can ONLY make recommendations which a boxing commission takes into consideration. I understand that this Federal boxing law.
