There has been a big delay on finalizing matchups for tonight's Maryland Boxing Club card at the Carroll County AG Center in Westminster, MD. There will be only three pro bouts this evening and this is what we have.
Eldersburg, MD light heavyweight Mark "TNT" Tucker returns to the ring against Rayford Johnson of Longview, TX in an eight-round contest. Tucker (15-1, seven KO's) battles for the first time since suffering his only pro defeat -- an eight-round unanimous decision loss to Larry Pryor in March of 2011 in Fairfax, VA. Johnson (8-13, four KO's) will try to break a four-bout losing streak that started in the Beltway Region when he lost a six-round unanimous decision to Venroy July on June 22 in Frederick, MD.
The co-feature will match Baltimore middleweight Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow (23-3-3, eight KO's) against Joshua Robertson of Lynchburg, VA (5-3, one KO). This one is scheduled for six rounds.
There will also be a four-round contest between middleweight Jeremy Trussell of Baltimore (5-0, four KO's) and Travis Davidson of Vinton, VA (1-0, one KO). This will be the sixth bout of the year for Trussell and his second bout in eight days. Trussell scored a first-round TKO over On'rey Towns on November 7 at the Jonathan Ogden Foundation benefit card in Cockeysville, MD.
Here is the scale watch for the card:
Mark Tucker 180 vs. Rayford Johnson 182
Jessie Nicklow 163 vs. Joshua Robertson 164
Jeremy Trussell 162 vs. Travis Davidson 162
its a pro-am, they only need 3 fights and 20 rounds. thats the state of maryland's rule not pannella
