Busy Fall Schedule Awaits Beltway Boxing Fans!

The Saturday, September 7 card at Rosecroft Raceway is just the beginning of what will be one of the busiest schedules of Beltway Pro Boxing that we can remember in a long time.  There will be a break between this Saturday's card and the next pro show we have.  However, by the end of September (if this schedule holds), we will be fully fully entrenched in local boxing for an almost six-week period.

Here's a look at the schedule after this Saturday's card:

Saturday, September 28 -- Hardwork Promotions will have a card at the Patapsco Arena in Baltimore.  According to Boxrec, this will be the first time boxing has been held at this facility since December of 1998.  The promoter -- Venroy July -- will headline the card known as "United Nations" and Kevin Rivers, Jr. is slated to be on the card.

Friday, October 4 -- Babie Girl Promotions will put on a card at the DC Armory in Washington, DC.  So far, Thomas Snow is slated to headline the card.

Saturday, October 5 -- This date marks the return of "Sugar" Han Kim to promoting as he will bring boxing back to the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA.  Todd Wilson is scheduled to participate in the main event.

Friday, October 18 -- Keystone Boxing has its first Friday night date at Rosecroft as the Raceway will have begun its racing season.

Friday, October 25 -- GH3 Promotions of New Jersey will have its first Beltway-area card at the Charles Houston Recreation Center in Alexandria, VA.  All three of the local GH3 signees -- Antoine Douglas, Jerry Odom and Danny Kelly -- are slated to be on the card as is Baltimore's Glen Dezurn.

Saturday, October 26 -- Two cards are slated for this date.  Top Flight Promotions are scheduled to have a card at the Washington Convention Center, headlined by the promoter, Ty Barnett.  Also, RBA Promotions is slated to have a card at Fort Myer/Henderson Hall in Arlington, VA.  The card is scheduled to feature Brandon Quarles.

Again, this is, as many things are in boxing, scheduled to change.  However, it could prove to be a very exciting fall season!

  4. I've been told that Lange may come back sometime in February. His knee is still an issue at this time.

  8. Brandon Quarles is fighting September 13th against John Thompson in New Jersey. So Gary you are saying he is also fighting October 26? That is a quick turnaround.

  11. The arena at the Charles Houston Rec Center is perfect for fights and it looks like they have some talent on the card so I'll buy a ticket or two.
