The main event for the Keystone Boxing card on Saturday, September 7 at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD has taken on an added significance. The two men involved will battle for a vacant regional title.
Landover, MD super middleweight "The Real Deal" Phil Jackson Benson will take on Scott "Cujo" Sigmon of Lynchburg, VA in a 10-round bout for the vacant WBC USNBC Super Middleweight title.
Jackson Benson (12-1, 11 KO's) will be competing in his second straight title contest, having won the WBC Fecarbox Super Middleweight title on May 11 in Millersville, MD with a seventh-round TKO over Maxell Taylor.
The WBC USNBC title is one that Sigmon (23-4, 12 KO's) is very familiar with as he won the crown in February of 2012 with a third-round TKO over Jimmy Crawford in Greensboro, NC before making two successful title defenses. Sigmon vacated the title before his most notable bout against former world champ Kelly Pavlik.
I wish Benson's WBC Fecarbox title was also on the line
ReplyDeletenot like he's going to lose it to cujo anyways so it doesn't matter.

Real Beltway Boxing fans care. Too bad you will miss a good card.
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Well, I care. And Digital is right. This looks like it is going to be a very solid boxing card from top to bottom. I would encourage all true Beltway Boxing fans to come out to Rosecroft on Saturday night, Sept. 7th. You won't be disappointed.
