Baltimore, MD cruiserweight Travis Reeves won his first professional bout Saturday night as he captured a four-round split decision over Steve Geffrard of Miami, FL at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL.
According to Phil Doherty of Fightnews.com, Reeves dropped Geffrard with a left hook seconds into the first round. Geffrard tried to fight back by looking to potshot Reeves in the middle rounds but Reeves managed to hang on and get two of the scorecards his way at 38-37. Geffrard got the other card by the same score.
Reeves made his pro debut on March 23 in Frederick, MD and lost a four-round majority decision to Zakki Scott. Reeves evens his record at 1-1-1. Geffrard is now 0-2.
Travis record is 1-1
ReplyDeleteActually, Travis is now 1-1-1. Win, lost and a draw.
ReplyDeleteHis draw was not listed. Do you know who it was against and when and where it was?
ReplyDeletethe draw was a home town decision against Keith Roberson in Norfolk Virginia. It has been a month since that fight.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to let Boxrec know that! Thanks for the information!
ReplyDeleteBoxrec isn't official, its fightfax that matters. Its just that boxrec is what the public knows but it is unofficial
ReplyDeleteFight Fax is not fan friendly. They charge for that info. Boxrec is unofficial but mostly accurate.
ReplyDeleteHey Gary, when is Charles Johnson going make his pro debut. I hear he's very big & strong for a Crusier Weight & that he defeated both Zakki in the USA's & Keith Roberson the Golden Glove Regionals. I wanna see what this man has
ReplyDeleteChris you are right that Johnson is very big & strong so at that said I do wanna see this man fight. I been at the Sugar Ray Gym where he trains & he looks real good right about now. I know he was trained by Will so i think he still with him & I think he can become a World Champion just like the other fighters here. He has a chance. Gotta wait & find out.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard when Johnson will make his pro debut yet. We've got plenty of cards coming up in the next two months -- hopefully he can get on one of them.
ReplyDeleteBig ups to Travis,he a real good dude we sparred with him several times and I knew he could fight.
