Competition continues in earnest for Beltway amateurs at the Junior Olympic National Championships in Mobile, AL as they move into the quarterfinals. Many locals are slated to compete today.
During the afternoon session, Mack Allison of Baltimore, MD will have his second match at 119 pounds when he faces off against Logan Yoon of Honolulu, HI. Also, Kashif Muhammad Brown, Jr. of Upper Marlboro, MD begins his campaign at 165 pounds when he battles Manjaro Hills, Jr. of Baker, LA.
Over in the second ring this afternoon, Waldorf, MD's Jordan White starts action at 101 pounds when he meets Kawelo Alcos of Wapahu, HI. Keeshawn Williams of DC battles for the second time at 110 pounds when he takes on Jacob Flores of Selma, CA and Malik Titus of Baltimore debuts at 176+ pounds when he goes up against Lorenzo Benavidez of Albuquerque, NM.
In the evening session, Sergio Bolonos of Silver Spring, MD returns at 114 pounds taking on Caleb Chesternut of Eastpointe, MI. Alexandria, VA's Troy Isley competes at 125 pounds facing Isidro Ochoa of Fresno, CA. Also, Michael Wilbar of Boonsboro, MD faces Sergio Flores of Overland Park, KS at 176 pounds.
