Harrison to Face Ankrah June 29 at Foxwoods!

Undefeated DC welterweight Dusty Hernandez Harrison will face another experienced foe when he battles "The Congo Soldier" Ben Ankrah of Ghana on Saturday, June 29 at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT.  The bout is slated for six rounds and will be on the undercard of the world title bout between WBA/IBO Middleweight champ Gennaday Golovkin and Matthew Macklin.

Harrison (15-0, nine KO's) is coming off perhaps his most impressive outing of his young career, scoring a fifth-round TKO over Eddie Soto on May 18 at the UDC Sports Complex.  Ankrah (17-15, eight KO's) has faced some impressive competition in his career including Thomas Dulorme, Patrick Allotey, Steve Upshur Chambers and Mike Arnaoutis.  Ankrah will be trying to break a four-bout losing streak.

  5. Day Day don't want it, he knows what happen to him when Dusty was dropping him at his own gym!!! Barry, Boog I know they would advise Day Day to stay clear away from Dusty's DMV championship, unless Dusty decides to give it up... Dust be busting the Headbangers up!!!! Now don't start nothing & it won't be nothing!!!

  10. Dusty should put his DMV belt on the line against James Stevenson from Baltimore. What you think about that one Digital?

  11. That's a decent matchup but more than a DMV belt would have to be on the line.

  12. I just spoke with Harrison and mentioned some of the things that were being said on boxing blogs. He said that he has never once knocked anyone down during a sparring match, and went further on to say that he never seriously hurt anyone during a sparring match. Then ended the conversation by saying that he hopes to not ever hurt or emmbarrass another while training for a fight. I will post entire video on youtube apox: 9:00 PM this evening along with several of the fights that occured this past sat. night at The DC Convention Center.

  13. Dustys ass gets heat because he turned pro at 17. He made his bed now he has to lie in it. Hes 15-0 and now they want him to fight the big boys. He should have waited but went for the money instead. Does he wait a few years or does he make easy money. I like to see the big fights but I guess if hes smart he builds himself. I give him til hes 21 and then go for broke. maybe then hes stronger and lot better.Even gary say he looked better last fight then ever.

  15. Dusty is humble, y'all jumped out there wit Day Day when everybody know who was there...what happen too Day Day, so don't take a cop now Headbangers tag alongs & fake coaches that's in y'all new gym built by DPR!!! Only real coach there is Boog he fought before, the rest don't know what it's like to get hit & hurt sometimes from certain shots... So the only people on here that should comment is people that fought before, & ain't nobody hating on Headbangers because a lot of fighters y'all got was already made by other coaches, & if stayed were they was at they still would've won the national championships that they one.. Barry ain't do shit but steal fighters that was already made.... Boog is the man over there, so start praising Boog & I won't have anything to say about y'all program!!!!

  16. DC ALWAYS TRY TO BUILD UP FIGHTERS LIKE THE OLDEST FOX I SAW ADRIAN BROWNER BEAT HIM SO BAD THAT IT WAS FUNNY HE 6'8 AND BROWNER 5 ft everybody knows both Foxes are straight BUMS but if you ask someone from DC OR PG they will say he's a hell of a fighter LOL.

  17. Boog quit too after he kept getting KTFO like Lamont & Anthony & became a helluva coach off his own fighting experience not by that BS that got him KOed... So don't come on this blog praising Barry.. Because he had to come out his pockets to coach up Lincoln, as I recall Cunningham was the top dog up Lincoln, he brought his way in there program & now it was a helluva pay off the he taking Lamont & Anthony money & anybody else thereBoog quit too after he kept getting KTFO like Lamont & Anthony & became a helluva coach off his own fighting experience not by that BS that got him KOed... So don't come on this blog praising Barry.. Because he had to come out his pockets to coach up Lincoln, as I recall Cunningham was the top dog up Lincoln, he brought his way in there program & now it was a helluva pay off the way he taking Lamont & Anthony money & anybody else there that's pro signed under his management & promotion!!! Put on a pair of gloves & fight in the Ringside master division you Barry dick riders!!! Then you'll know who the real coach over Headbangers IS!!! Barry give you fake coaches over there a little bit of coaching duties & now y'all think y'all know boxing & it's history... Don't comment on this blog unless you fought before,&about the history of DC boxing... Because its obvious that your some kin to Barry or one of those new wannabe coaches at Headbangers & brainwashed that's defending him & not in agreement that Boog is one of the best in the DMV...

  18. Man leave Barry along i am a ex fighters and he must be doing a hell of a job because he name is ringing off of the hook. When i was fighting i never heard of him but that doesnt mean he cant train guys. I have listen to him in the corners of guys and he seems like he has control of the fighters and tells fighters excactly what they need to do

  19. Just seen Dust and his crew on World Star
    http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhG979ALS80192MaSR

This youngin is confused, doesn't know if wants be a boxer or a rapper. This is proof he should have atleast waited until he was 21 to turn pro. Wouldn't surprise me to see him just quit boxing and try some other shit out. His fights are a damn circus event. Boxing will never, ever be the same as it was back in the day.

  24. I don't care what nobody says Dusty can become the IBF CHAMP NOW he would knock Lamont Peterson out by the 5th round if I was Buddy thats what I would go after

    ReplyDelete
  25. Too much money for an 18 year old will only hurt him. Buddy needs to have Dusty slow his roll. They keep going like its no tomorrow. They act like its a race. The kid actually turned professional before he was allowed to even fight in the open division. We all heard of over-training a boxer, well that would be an understatement when it comes to Dusty. How many rounds of sparring is needed for a fight? Gym wars are what causes a fighter to be Punch Drunk, not the fight itself.
Yes the money might be good, but what is it worth if the kid cannot even spell money by the time he reaches 21. Trust me. I am not jealous nor am I broke. In fact, I think Dusty is a very thoughtful person and have never once heard him say anything bad about another boxer. (Except Khan) I just think that they have moved this kid way too fast and need to let him grow in all ways before taking on such a cruel sport. He fights welterweight now but has the height of a light heavy. Why not allow him to grow before abusing his body and brain??? Have you ever listened to the boxers who have been fighting for such a long time? You can hardly make out what they are saying. Dusty would be served well if he take a year off right now. By doing so, he'd be much more mature mentally and physically and would still be right in the mix of everything. These promoters are using him for ticket sales. They do care about his long-term health. He sells out boxing events and that's all they care about.

  26. Rap Video on World Star about Dusty's life was cool. Does anyone know who the girl was that left him and went back to Cali? I bet her ass is regretting leaving him now. LMAO

  29. Dusty a interesante prueba

  33. Why are you all concerned about the DC boxers fighting each other at this stage. We should get behind ALL our boxers until we beat everyone around us. Then the big title bouts can be settled with just us.

This petty stuff at this time in the local's careers is stupid.

Fox has tools & the goods to beat anyone at 147- 154!!! I wish he would've stayed around for the 2012 Olympics, we would've had a Gold Medalist from this area....
