Eric "Inferno" Govan opens up the card with a four-round unanimous decision over Steven Tyner. Govan used a piston-like jab to set the pace in the first two rounds. Govan tried to ramp the action up in the third as he started to go to the body with solid shots. However, Govan just didn't have the power to put the veteran Tyner away.
Govan scored a shutout (40-36) on all three judge's scorecards to raise his record to 2-0. Tyner falls to 3-11-2, two KO's.
Next up: The pro debut of new father
Edwin Reyes of Rockville, MD as he takes on Philadelphia, PA's Jarrett Robinson (0-1).
