Capitol Heights, MD cruiserweight Mario Murphy won a workmanlike four-round majority decision over Danville, VA's Damion Reed. Murphy showed some strong defensive skills, however he didn't have the power to keep Reed at bay throughout the contest. Judge Paul Wallace scored the bout even, 38-38 while Kenny Chevalier and John Gradowski scored the bout for Murphy, 39-37 and 40-36, respectively.
Murphy is now 2-0 while Reed is 2-11-1, one KO.
