Beltway Boxers Successful on Second Day of USA Nationals!

Local boxers won all four of their bouts today at the USA Boxing National Championships in Spokane, WA.

Two of the local winners came in the Youth Male 132 Pound Division where Lamont Roach, Jr. of Upper Marlboro, MD won a 3-0 (30-27) decision over Kelvin Davis of Norfolk, VA and Gary Antuanne Russell of Capital Heights, MD captured a 3-0 decision over Christian Bermudez of Brooklyn, NY.  The two locals are in separate parts of the bracket and could meet each other in the finals.

In the Senior Men's Division, Gary Antonio Russell advanced in the 123 Pound bracket with a shutout win over Joshua McShane of Waianae, HI while Patrick Harris of Hyattsville, MD moves into the next round of the 141 Pound division with a 3-0 win over Brian Clements of Topeka, KS.

Also, Marquis Moore, a boxer from Fort Washington, MD, who is in the US Army and fights out of Fort Carson, CO won his bout in the Senior Men's 165 Pound class by a 3-0 score over Daneil Logan of Oklahoma City, OK.
