Gaines Off March 2 Card, Replaced By Joshua Davis!

District Heights, MD lightweight Renaldo "Misunderstood" Gaines has suffered an injury in training and will miss the Keystone Boxing card on Saturday, March 2 at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD.

Replacing Gaines will be DC's Joshua Davis (2-0, one KO) who returns after almost 15 months of inactivity.  Davis last fought in December of 2011 and won a four-round unanimous decision over Christopher Russell at the Washington Convention Center.  Davis is now being trained by George Peterson, who once trained Paul Williams.  Davis will face Benjamin Burgos of Mount Pocono, PA (1-3).

    1. I agree Renaldo is a coward. His father will be his downfall. They are ghetto & don't know the business of boxing. Renaldo needs to be a man. He is arrogant. I watched him at keystone weigh in's walking around like he is a super star. He is 4-1-1ko. Keystone do him a favor by putting him on their cards against guys that he should knock out & he is barely doing that.

  2. will tickets be available at the door? How much do they cost? do any notable boxing luminaries from the DC boxing scene ever go to the fights at rosecroft?

  3. Tickets are 40 and 55 and they will be available at the door. Sometimes boxers like Seth Mitchell will be there. Tony Thompson may be there as well this weekend. Not as many come to these shows as they do the big ones downtown.

  5. It was great to see that no talent hack crybaby Jones shit out of of doing the Peterson or any of the TV fights. I am black, and tired of this whack cry baby brother who is on the DL from what I hear, crying I am black and though I have worked for over 20 years, I cannot get a job! Shut up! Stop crying and update your wardrobe.

Mr Williams, I have much respect for you sir, but stop taking up for someone who is a crybaby! How much do you get paid when you do the fights?I heard nothing, but he does and you MUST stop making excuses for our brother!

  6. Tony Thompson and Dusty Harrison told us that they will be in attendance on Saturday. No word yet from any other big name local fighters.

Tickets will be available at the door, but the January event sold out of general admission at around 8pm on fight night. To purchase in advance, visit out facebook page or our website www.keystone-boxing.com.
