The first Beltway amateur card for 2013 will take place on Saturday, January 12 at the Shake 'N' Bake Skating Rink located at 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue in Baltimore, MD. This will be a special card as it will mark the amateur finale for one of Baltimore's best amateurs in recent memory.
This card will be the finale amateur appearance for 2012 National Golden Gloves 123-pound champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis, who plans to turn pro in the near future. Davis has won a number of amateur titles throughout his amateur career including the Silver Gloves and National PAL's.
Tickets for the event are from $20 to $40 and the card will begin at 7 PM. The card is sanctioned by the South Atlantic Association of USA Boxing, who recently named a new president in James Hogan. It has been a memorable recent time for Hogan, who also welcomed a new addition to his family, a baby girl. Congratulations!
Congratulations to President Hogan on the birth of his child.
