Two Beltway amateurs are slated to appear on a pro-am card at Resorts World Casino in Queens, NY or Saturday, December 8.
DC's Lamont Tate, who captured the Novice 9-10, 80 Pound championship at the Ringside World Championships in August, will face Vito Mielnicki of Newark, NJ. Mielnicki also won a title at the Ringside World Championships this year, capturing the Novice 9-10, 70 Pound title.
Also, Cornell Gray of DC, who was a finalist in the Boys Open 11-12, 80 Pound division at the Ringside Championships this year, will take on Newark's Malik Nelson who captured a 2012 Ringside title in the Boys Open 11-12, 70 Pound division, defeating another DC boxer, Kali Edwards.
The main event on the pro card will feature Queens, NY's own Vinny Maddalone against Byron Polley of St. Joseph, MO in a 10-round contest.
