'Chop Chop' Corley Battles McCloskey May 5 in Northern Ireland!

Former WBO Junior Welterweight champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley will face Northern Ireland's Paul McCloskey on Saturday, May 5 at the King's Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Corley replaces Julio Diaz who raised concerns about making the 140-pound limit.

Corley (38-19-1, 22 KO's) is ranked number 15th in the world by the WBC by virtue of his 10-round unanimous decision win over previously undefeated Gabriel Rosado for the NABF Junior Welterweight title on January 21 in New York City.  Since 2000, Corley has fought in seven countries (China, United Kingdom [three times], Nicaragua, Kazakhstan [twice], Russia [twice], Argentina and Canada )

McCloskey (23-1, 12 KO's) has not fought since winning a WBA Light Welterweight title eliminator over Bredis Prescott on September 10 in Belfast.  This was a bounce-back win for McCloskey who lost a title bid against then-WBA champ Amir Khan in April of 2011.
