Sigmon Defends WBC USNBC Title With TKO; Farmer Wins Unanimous Decision; Roy Wins In Return!

Lynchburg, VA super middleweight Scott "Cujo" Sigmon made his first successful defense of his WBC USNBC Super Middleweight title with a seventh-round TKO of Nashville, TN's Jonathan "Reid Dawg" Reid Saturday night at the Winchester Armory in Winchester, VA.

The bout was stopped after the seventh round and the win is Sigmon's fifth straight. Sigmon's record is now 21-3, 12 KO's. Reid is now 35-15, 19 KO's.

Also on the card, Front Royal, VA junior middleweight Andrew "The Doo Man" Farmer won an eight-round unanimous decision over deceptively tough Damon Antoine of Akron, OH. Farmer has now won three in a row and is now 16-2, seven KO's. Antoine falls to 9-34-2, four KO's.

Front Royal heavyweight Terry "T-Brick" Roy made his return after a three-year absence. Roy's return was successful as he stopped Benito Fernandez of Spartansburg, SC in the fourth round. Roy's record is now 8-2-2, seven KO's. Fernandez is now 20-18, seven KO's.

Left Hook LLC promoted the event.

  2. Sigmon is taking a very smart path; He stays in the gym, stays in the ring and is increasing the level of fighter he takes without exposing himself. Lots of fighters in this area would be wise to take a look at how he has progressed on very limited ability. He will ultimately see a very good payday. Sigmon is on am old school path, unafraid and undeterred by a loss.

  4. Ronnie Carrigan won a split decision over a gut that has never, ever had a fight, amateur or professional. The entire crowd thought that Ronnie lost. I spoke to several people who were at ringside.

  7. Leo trains Ronnie

  8. Leo has nothing to do with ronnie! Ronnie is trained by his father just as his two older brothers were. Leave the young man alone. He will do fine just give him time. -someone who knows

  9. Cujo fired Hensley for the same reason I did. He is a bald headed crook, with bad breathe and tries to sleep with the ring card girls who told me he has a small one that he exposed!

  10. why wouildnt you try to sleep with the ring girls

  11. Seriously, though, Sigmon left Hensley because he outgrew him. Joe doesn't really know the sport, doesn't have significant connections and when he went bankrupt, well, there was nothing left to offer Scott. So, Scott moved onward and upward. I like the trajectory of Scott's career now. It looks like his technique is improving. That was a knock we had on Joe - not getting Scott help on his technique, very, very basic stuff like fundamentals of throwing a punch. Scott is not slapping/pushing as much when he throws. I like where Scott is now. Us bigger promoters outside the area are starting to take notice. Kid is as tough as nails and is progressing as a boxer. Possible big pay days a few years away, but he has to box and throw much better.

  16. Here we go .
Fucking Sigmon trying to make people think he's Lou Duva and complimenting himself on this blog.
Man will you just fight and keep your mouth shut.
It was a good show you were on but your fight with Reid was suspect.Pretty obvious when Reid turned his hands loose you were much the lesser fighter. Will give you the fact that you at least make it look real but let somebody else pick your opponet and I wonder what would happen.

  17. I can vouch that Hensley is a crook. I went to high school with him. He was in my gym class. Often he would produce a doctor's note excusing him from gym class. There was a rash of wallets stolen from gym class. An investigation was undertaken and it was found that there was a correlation between the classes during which wallets were stolen and Hensley's absence from those classes. A search warrant was issued for Hensley's high school locker and low and behold over 25 wallets were found in his locker. Hensley was sneaking in the lockeroom during class and stealing wallets. Once a crook always a crook. Hensley is as dishonest as they come. Don't trust him.
