Quarles Wins Split Decision in Atlantic City!

Alexandria, VA middleweight Brandon Quarles won a four-round split decision over Corey Preston of North Carolina tonight at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ on the undercard of Paul Williams-Erislandy Lara.

Quarles won on two cards 40-36 and 39-37. Preston took one card, 39-37.

Quarles remains undefeated at 6-0, two KO's. Preston falls to 1-6.

  1. given the quality of new jersey judges even that decision is in question paul williams lost at least 8 rounds if not 10 and got the win

  2. SD's are always questionable no matter what side you are on, the winning or losing side. Based from the judging I saw that night, I really question that SD win too.

  3. In the interest of full disclosure, the same three judges -- Al Bennett, Hilton Whitaker III and Donald Givens -- did both the Quarles bout and the Williams bout.

  6. This game is full of pieces of shit from the top to the bottom.
    Paul Williams clearly lost that fight and I was pulling for him to win but not by stealing it.

  8. Don't know for certain because I haven't seen the tape. I did talk to Brandon recently and he wasn't satisfied with his performance, but a win is a win.
