If any of the Beltway four win a National title, he will be the first Beltway Boxer to win one since Gary Russell, Jr. captured a national crown in 2005.
If Antonio and/or Allen Russell capture a national title, it would mark the third time that two members of a Beltway Boxing family have won a national Golden Gloves title. Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson won the national Golden Gloves in 1988, his brother, James Harris accomplished the feat in 1992. Both Lamont and Anthony Peterson have a national Golden Gloves title. Lamont won his in 2001 while Anthony earned his in 2003.
