Hey Gary, Any updates on the George "El Gallo" Armenta vs. Edwin "La Bomba" Rodriguez fight?
ReplyDeleteAll I know is that it is still taking place, however it is an eight-round bout and there is a 12 and a 10 round bout on the card. the bout is still scheduled to appear on Friday Night Fights, but no official word yet.
ReplyDeleteIf they had the gloves in the day time I'm sure attendance would go up. This makes for a tough decision for me.
ReplyDeleteGood night of action in the golden gloves. I can't wait
ReplyDeleteThe action is really starting to heat up, this should be a great weekend
ReplyDeleteThe golden glove as been super the weight class to watch is the 132 and 141 the first match of the 132 we pick Rector and the second Rivers for the141 we pick womack for the first bout and second bout we pick Russell so lets get ready rubble!!!!

ReplyDeleteany resultws for tonights fights?
ReplyDeleteThe ones I remember:
ReplyDelete165 pounds: vs. Danny Cunnuday (Club One) def. Semaj Harrison (Dream Team) by RSC 1
201+ pounds: Jarmar Johnson (Sugar Ray Leonard) def. Roderick Porter (NOMIS)
Open Division:
123 pounds: Nathaaniel Worky (Sugar Ray Leonard) vs. Glen Dezurn (UMAR) - no fight
132 pounds (female-Championship): Asia Stevenson (Headbangers) def. Kimberly Dolly (Tony's Gym)
132 pounds: Joseph Rector (Books and Boxing) def. Zachary MacIntosh (Frederick Fight Club)
132 pounds. Kevin Rivers (Headbangers) def. : Joshua Davis (Headbangers) - no action at all
141 pounds:. Micheal Reed (Dream Team) def. Kevin Womack, Jr. (Upton)- Reed looked good.
141 pounds: Chris Warden (Old School) vs. Gary Allan Russell (Keystone) - no fight warden no show
152 pounds: David Grayton (Headbangers) def. Markest Moore (Keystone) - grayton dropped moore earlier and he never seem to get back into the bout until late when he came on strong in last round vs a tired Grayton.
152 pounds: Adam Mitchell (Diamonds N Da Ruff) vs. Jacey Thompson (Sugar Ray Leonard) - mitchell no sho
165 pounds: Demond Nicholson (Cherry Lane) def. Lee Snow (Sugar Ray Leonard) - although bloodied, Nicholson looked good when acitve.
165 pounds: Demitrious Ballard (No Xcuse) def. Reginald Lucas (Upton)
178 pounds: Jerry Odom (No Xcuse) vs. Mario Murphy (Sugar Ray Leonard) - no fight. murphy didn't make weight
178 pounds: Eric Govan (Sugar Ray Leonard) def. Mark Baltimore (Sugar Ray Leonard
201+ pounds: Danny Kelly (Headbangers) def. Joe Liles (Club One) by RSC - devastating "KO" at the end of the round bell. Kelly looks like he's about 280 and if when he learns to put that power to work and stay busier, he's going to do very well.
201+ pounds: Jerrell Reeves (Old School) vs. Tavon Sol (Next Level) - ???? didn't stay
I thought it was a great night, best night so far. Day Day and Marques had the fight of the night, Mike Reed put on the best performance of the night (that was a boxing clinic he gave Womack), to bad we didn't get to see Allen and Rock, devastating knock-out by Big Danny he looks like he has a real future, it was some great knock-outs in the novice division too, that first bout between J. Baxter and R. Allen was a hell of a fight Baxter knocked Allen down 4-times Allen dropped Baxter 1-time , Baxter finally stopped him in the third great bout, that kid from kentland looked really strong too. It was nice to see SUGAR RAY LEONARD at the fights, he took a lot of pictures and shook a lot of hands
ReplyDeletedanny hit joe liles late!!!! Should of been DQ!!!!
