  1. I would say there are 3 bouts that stand out above the rest.

Farmer vs. Orji - I think Farmer makes a real statement in this one and blows Orji out. Farmer by 3rd round KO.

Nicklow vs. Sigmon - A tough little guy vs. a tough bigger guy and a tale of two fights here. Jesse will put rounds in the bank and Sigmon will beat him up even while Jesse wins those rounds and Cujo stops him in 7.

Stevenson vs. Rivera - For Rivera, this is a real opportunity to show what he's got against an undefeated fighter. For Stevenson, this could show us whether he's good, very good, or possibly even great. A dominant performance by either guy makes them a real contender in my opinion.

I'll go with Stevenson vs. Rivera as the most intriguing all beltway bout.

  2. How many stoppages does Scott have? I mean real stoppages not some bullshit my hand is hurt. Scott won’t make the final bell when the Beast is all over him like he did George Rivera. Jessie mid round KNOCK OUT over FAGO.

  3. March 6 card doesn't even belong in this poll

  4. Stevenson blows out Rivera.
    Orji 'upsets' Farmer.
    Nicklow punishes Sigmon.

  5. 1.farmer over orji by decision or later round stoppage. farmer is a tough local guy. where orji i just see as a local guy but let them battle it out in what will come as a good fight

2.sigmon by late round stoppage over nicklow just way to physically big and nicklow cant box as he showed in the guerrero fight and as we all know there is no defense from nicklow. and also to its obvious sigmon isnt the greatst either but ill take sigmon. sigmon needs to win this to try and prove even though he looks sloppy he can get a win either way and is actually better then people think he is. nicklow needs to win to prove he gots something left after 2 bad displays against mackey and being blown out by guerrero. so nicklow needs this one bad. especially being 19-2-2 and losing to a guy who is 8-1 wont look that good. so he needs this one desperatly. i kinda wanna see the weigh in just as bad the fight its elf

    3. stevenson is a tough up coming prospect. rivera isnt the greatest fighter hes a regional class kinda guy but it will be a good test for stevenson to see how good of a prospect he is or is he like most people around here who get tested and dont pass. stevenson has a victory over tough journeyman martinus clay. where rivera has a good win over local star nicklow. so only time will tell if stevenson is a guy that just beats journeyan and loses to other local stars and can he go above that. where rivera trys to prov if hes a ok local fighter or a good local fighter. it will be a good one to see though

    4. kisner over johnson by stoppage or decision. either way kind of a blow out for kisner. kisner brings in a hell of an amatuer resume and looked splendid against ambang in january. johnson is coming off a lose to venroy july in january who is another man that kisner outclassed in the amatuers. johnson trys but it wont be good enough in this case. kisner is not the hardst puncher right now cause for being so young and being a bigger guy but he can box. some what of a malinaggi in my opinion which is not bad at all. so thats my prediction on that one. and with johnson having a win over kisners father danny doesnt make this any any less interesting

    5. this is a good four rounder. i will take shaw by about a 3rd round stoppage after a blowout over allan perkins he looks like he can crack a little with that right hand. where omar seems not to have the best defense and i hear has somewhat of a questionable chin. so i think it will be a exciting fight but i think zains power will make the diffrence

    6. todd wilson by a stoppag in 4. todd has a good boxer style tto him and is smar in the ring. ron boyd has no chin at all and is opponent. he is just brought out to be knocked out now by prospects and the same thing is bing made for wilson so wilson by stoppage

    7. batteast and jones i see as a draw. both not the greatet fighters for sure. batteast coming off a in over perkins and jones coming off being demlished against 08 olympian estrada. they both have a style to where no one can rally dominate the other. there about on the same levl and in a four rounder i have them winning 2 a piece. or i have batteast winning slightly but either way a good opponent fight

  7. "Scott won’t make the final bell when the Beast is all over him like he did George Rivera."

Well, Another very important factor is, who will the ref be??? Think back on that Nicklow/Rivera fight, and hope it is ref'd right this time.

  8. i dont think kissner is dumb enough to let jessie fight cecil but money does talk

  9. There wont be anything of Jesse left after this fight.

  10. why do you even have these popularity contests wherer people vote for themselves a hundred times

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's called understanding the pulse of the fan base. And in this case, I think there are more people thinking with their heads then their hearts.

It's also done out of curiosity. I really wanted to know what the readers think. And if they vote a hundred times (which technically they cannot do), that's fine.

  12. Most interesting to me is the Stevenson fight.

    handler is a twotiming snake.

  15. Who is Stevenson's handler?

  16. Some people didn't even answer the question at all but that's ok.

The MOST INTRIGUING matchup is point blank period, the Jessie Nicklow vs. Scott Sigmon. If not for the fact that other than size wise, they matchup pretty good, its the hype this fight has behind it. People have been begging and pleading for Scott to face somebody who can possibly beat him and well, here it is. People love Jessie and hate Scott. Should be a good entertaining fight. Take this to the bank though. It will be a sequel because this fight WILL go to the judges score cards and people will not like the decision.

The distant runner up for most intriguing match up would have to be Stevenson vs. Rivera. This is George's opportunity to make a statement and to wake people up. If he wins this fight, it will most likely lead to a sequel and/or bigger fights (paydays) for him. Huge opportunity for Rivera to steal Stevenson's large and growing fan base. On Stevenson's side, if he wins, he was supposed to. If he loses, he just shows he was another fighter with a gassed up record. Believe he will win though. His camp wouldn't put him in a fight like this early on his career if they didn't believe he had a strong possibility of winning.

  17. I know why you have these polls Gary I just wanted to hear you say it again.Youi really do a great job Gary.Keep up the good work.

  18. The Stevenson fight my ass, you mean the Rivera fight! Rivera gonna knock him out! Hes bigger stronger and hits harder and War Time aint lettin this one go to the judges. Time for Keep Em Sleepin to go to sleep!

  19. Stevenson vs. Rivera is the best fight on the card. I think the sigmon fight would be better if he was fighting someone his own size so to speak. I think this is a terrible move on Joe's part, because if Cujo gets beat by a much smaller guy he is done.

  20. wartime couldn't knock a box of cereal off the table.

  21. I heard he doesnt eat cereal. James Stephens aint gonna make it.

  22. I think this is the first time I believe Sigmon is going to be fighting at his true weight I think he was way too small before.I think Nicklow's people are counting on Sigmon being weak from weight loss and this may actually be his best weight. We will just have to wait and see.I believe War Time loses this fight against Stevenson because he can not beat the Rodney Greens of the world.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I predict nicklow comes to ring wearing a wedding dress

    ReplyDelete
  24. George cannot beat the Rodney Greens but some fighters don't step it up that easy. Some fighters fight to the level of the their competition. Don't count Rivera out, but I am leaning towards Stevenson. I think Sigmon will struggle to make weight, but there were light heavyweights he could have fought so thats his mistake. Cujo is very ripped and I am sure trains very hard but taking off muscle is hard and draining. Stevenson vs Rivera is def more important fight.

    ReplyDelete
  25. George beat Green! That was a bad decision but now George has the opportunity to erase that with a win over Stevenson.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Gary ,you know were not really talking about the pulse of the real fan base ,just a couple of the fighters and maybe a couple of people they might know.

  28. The one that's not even a fight....

The Mayweather event at the Lincoln!

  29. @Joy. I think All-Beltway means the fight consists of two fighters from the beltway going at it lol.

Idk exactly how a press conference can be intriguing anyway. You already know whats going to happen. A bunch of fake ish to sell tickets.

    ReplyDelete
  30. gee. selling tickets. isn't that what boxing events are about?

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Joy true true true. But you can't say that is the most intriguing BELTWAY matchup (when first it doesnt have not one beltway fighter) over actual fights. You already know what happens doing a Floyd Mayweather Press Conference anyways. Him and his uncle are going to recite poetry and talk shit.

BTW, of the actual ALL BELTWAY fights. Which one do you think is the most intriguing??
