ReplyDeleteNo Jalonte Cole. That's typo. It's Malik Jackson from Lime Lite.
ReplyDeletewhy is Hinto the sole judge of the bout mentioned, can the judges not do this bout,is hinton licensed with usa boxing as a referee?
ReplyDeleteTyler vs Jackson can be judged by the tournament director if there is two or less bouts involved.
ReplyDeleteAccording to USA boxing rules he can also choose the chief official to do so. From what I gather, this bout will take place Friday the 18th. and will be very first bout of the evening.
Last night none of the headbangers lost keep up the good work and lamont keep your head up
ReplyDeleteHinten cant see> no way>let da croud jugde it>
ReplyDeleteBradley pounds Peterson to keep 140-pound title
ReplyDeleteBy GREG BEACHAM
AP SPORTS WRITER
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -- Timothy Bradley defended his WBO 140-pound title and remained unbeaten with a dominant unanimous decision over Lamont Peterson on Saturday night.
With the hometown crowd chanting his name even before the opening bell, Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs) delighted his fans with his superior skill and speed, blemishing the perfect record of his friend and former roommate from their amateur days.
Peterson (27-1), the Washington, D.C., native who overcame childhood homelessness to become a title contender, was knocked down for the first time in his career by an overhand right in the third round.
Peterson rallied courageously, but Bradley picked him apart through the late rounds to stay among boxing's top rising champions.

ReplyDeleteFLOYD IS MORE THAN READY FOR MARQUEZ. HIS HAND SPEED, REFLEXES, CONDITIONING, TIMING AND RHYTHM ARE ALL THERE. MY FIGHTER TOLD ME THAT LAMONT PETERSON SHOWED UP AT FLOYD’S GYM TWO WEEKS AGO TRYING TO MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF. AFTER VERBALLY ABUSING EACH OTHER FOR 30 MINUTES WHILE PUTTING ON THEIR HANDWRAPS, THEY WENT EIGHT 4-MINUTE ROUNDS WITH 15 SECONDS REST, WHICH WAS A SPARRING SESSION WORTH PAYING FOR ACCORDING TO MY FIGHTER. AFTER EIGHT ROUNDS, LAMONT COULDN'T GO NO MORE BECAUSE OF FATIGUE. THAT’S WHEN FLOYD REALLY STARTED TAUNTING HIM SAYING TO HIM ‘ANOTHER ROUND, ANOTHER ROUND!’ WHEN LAMONT REFUSED TO GO ANOTHER ROUND, THAT’S WHEN THE VERBAL ABUSE WENT TO RECORD LEVELS IN THE MAYWEATHER CAMP. NAME CALLING AND VERBAL ABUSE CONTINUED TO BE DIRECTED AT LAMONT FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES.”
ReplyDeleteLamont quit, he advised me to contact Peterson's trainer/manager Barry Hunter. ... You need to be extremely focused to defeat Mayweather over the .... Receive email notification when a new topic is posted in this ...

Peterson came in with a strong gameplan but failed. He figured being in Bradley's hometown he would come out the agressor, to get a couple of rounds under his belt so that he would be able to box later in the fight. It just so happened that Timothy Bradley is the WRONG guy to trade with. He was slick, he was fast, he moved well, he landed crisply and in bunches...really impressive. At that point Peterson being down on points early was forced to engage and thats when Timothy just began dazzling. Moving, countering, forcing Peterson out of his gameplan. Peterson who wanted to use his quick jab to counter and fight on the outside ended up leading and trying to get inside. Great fight for Timothy, far and away the best 140lber in the world

ReplyDeleteThe whole tournament has been very competitive. My understanding is that thier are three championship bouts left, two of those will be fought on friday night at a all amatuer show hosted by old school at rosecroft, which starts around 6pm. The two championship bouts will be the 8-9yr. old 70lb., and the 14-15yr. 106lb. The last championship bout will take place saturday night on the pro-am show, also at rosecroft. That will be the 14-15yr. 138lb. Good luck to all of the boxer's.
ReplyDeleteWho has a DC license?
ReplyDeleteThat kid Jordan White really knows how to box.
ReplyDeleteHis combinations and body punches are incredible for his age.
Can some comment on the Gervonta Davis vs. Devonta Tolbert fight both looked really good last week I didnt make it this saturday, I pegged Devonte as the better fighter... Any comments welcome
ReplyDeleteBradley was no where near the amateur Lamont was. But he is a better pro? Why is that? It is because he has gotten better training since his amateur days by professional minded coaches that understand what it takes to compete and win as a pro. Hunter never transitioned from an amateur coach to a pro coach and therefore his pupils still fight like amateurs. Peterson is easily the more naturally skilled fighter over Bradley bu has not been taught to properly throw his right hand and how to use his height and reach to control a fight. He also spends his sparring time with family and friends such as his brother and Barnett which can never be as intense as a complete stranger that is there to get you ready for a world title fight. I hang this loss 10% on Peterson and 90% on Hunter
ReplyDeleteAs for Timothy Bradley, he pitched a shutout against a pretty crafty if sort of inexperienced fighter and he ought to get credit for it. Check the site daily for Upcoming Boxing Picks & Boxing Predictions that will make you a winner.
ReplyDeleteIt emerged that Frank Warren has contacted Bradley's manager about a proposed fight with Amir Khan next year in the United Kingdom. The call surprised Gary Shaw. I was very surprised at the ease in which Bradley beat Peterson. I thought this was a fight of the year candidate but Bradley was having no part of that. Timothy Bradley is the best superlightweight right now, fighting everyone. Check out Boxing Odds
To the poster who said Bradley was no where near the amatuer tha Lamont was, I think u need to check that again Bradley was a great amatuer winning the silver gloves, the j.o's, and winning the golden gloves, and just like Lamont he just missed out on making the olympic's. Lamont does not box like a amatuer, he would not have been 27-0, if he did. The man lost to a better fighter that night, now all of a sudden everybody want's to talk about his trainers, and his training. He will be o.k. I could see u saying that if he was 10 and 20, the man just lost his first bout in 27 fights, I for one think that is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteAnwar Henson lost that fight against Greg Burton, also Mykal Fox won his match,I don't know why the judges show the headbangers so much favoritism every year, but that's why the attendants of the tournaments are getting lower and lower because the judging is not fair, and the best fighters are not advancing because the judges of the P.V.A. are corrupt.
ReplyDeleteI thought the judging was very accurate for this year's tournament. The judging last saturday was especially good, because thier was no screaming or booing after each decision. Thier was only one bad decision in this year's tournament and that took place the first night. I notice either the first week the headbanger's were complaining that the judges were biased against them, the second week were hearing people say that the headbanger's get all the call's, why so much animosity toward's each other. Let's give the judges credit they did a great job for this tournament.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! why don't you become a judge? if in your opinion they are so corrupt. i'm sure you could make a difference.
