The magazine Round 1, edited by Lamar Clark, has put together a really nice video package on Lamont Peterson, as he prepares for his December 12 title challenge against Timothy Bradley in Rancho Mirage, CA.
This footage was shot in September and also has interviews with Anthony Peterson, trainers Barry Hunter and 2009 DC Boxing Hall of Famer Andrew Council as well as Ty Barnett.

Who knocked Tye out is Salsbury?
ReplyDeleteWas it the first round or second? Did he retire? I think he should come right back-he is one hell of a fighter. Needs to fight guys on his own level, no heavy hitters until the money is right. Keep ur head up Tye-u will make good out of all this-trust us...
Very nice peice on the camp Gary you should have more stuff like this if available.
ReplyDeleteGo Lamont.

I'm tired just watching Peterson work out! Seriously though, to those so called fighters out there that think they're working hard, look at how hard Peterson works, and then ask yourself, "Am I really doing what it takes to be a Champion? I may say I'm working hard but am I really working that hard?" You've got to be true with yourself before you can be true with anyone else.
ReplyDeletehey gary not to down the shine of lamont, but how is it that kelly pavlick was suppose to fight paul but pulled out and all of a sudden have a fight lined up 2 weeks later and now his hand is all better, and to the previous above, that is true are we really traing hard
ReplyDeleteAre you suggesting Pavlik pulled out because of fear?
ReplyDeleteyes i think he pulled out cause of fear, im not sure of Paul situation, but im quite sure, he would have rather fight kelly than whoever he is fighting, this is the problem with boxing, they claim to want to fight the best, and i know they will say HBO didnt have that date, but paul woould have fought on latin fury, or outside at the park so i think.
ReplyDeletegood luck barry hunter an lamont
ReplyDeleteGood article Gary D, this is what i have been waiting for. D.C. boxing is really on the upswing. Please keep doing article's on the area's up and coming boxer's
ReplyDeleteGreat job fella's, keep working hard and good thing's will happen. The coaches and the boxer's seem like they r all on the same page. And one of thier best quality's was that they are also using thier brain's, that's one of the biggest quality's that get overlooked in boxing, the smarter man is usually going to win.
ReplyDeletesaw ty in g'town this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteKeep training hard and turn it up even more..Get that belt..ARSENAL..
