More BATB Anniversary Numbers!

As we approach July 31, the birthday of Boxing Along The Beltway, here are some more anniversary numbers.

Since the start of BATB on July 31, 2005, 28 boxers have appeared on national TV a total of 66 times. In 2008, Beltway Boxers made 25 appearances on national TV.

The won-loss record in national TV appearances is 34-29-2, 1 NC, 16 KO’s.

Lamont Peterson has the most national TV appearances with nine times.

Luther Smith, who appeared on ESPN2 on August 5, 2005 and lost to Delvin Rodriguez.

The first to win on National TV -- Hasim Rahman, who captured the WBC Interim Heavyweight title with a win over Monte Barrett on August 13, 2005 on a KingVision PPV.

  5. That's covering a lot of research and unfortunately, i don't have the time. I would need a lot of help on that. I did do a piece a couple of years ago on how many times Beltway Boxers have appeared on HBO up until HBO's 30th anniversary of boxing.

    Our boxers made numerous appearances on USA on Tuesday and Thursday Night Fights.
