Great Falls, VA junior middleweight Jimmy Lange will defend his WBC USNBC Junior Middleweight title against former Contender teammate Jonathan "Reid Dawg" Reid in a 12-round main event Saturday, September 26 on an ICE Promotions card at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.
Lange (30-3-2, 21 KO's) will fight at the Patriot Center for the eighth consecutive time. Lange's last outing saw him win the USNBC title with a fifth-round stoppage of Frank Houghtaling on May 2.
Reid (34-11, 19 KO's) has had a tough time in the ring since "The Contender," winning just once in his last 11 bouts, including losses to Paul Smith (Contender - Season 3), Pawel Wolak, Dhafir Smith, and Maxim Vlasov.
Also scheduled to be on this card are former WBO Junior Welterweight champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley, "The Mongolian Mongoose" Bayan Jargal, Juan "The Savior" Rodriguez, "The Bolivian Queen" Jennifer Salinas and Tony "Mo Better" Jeter.
This is slated to be the third championship bout in September. We know that Baltimore light heavyweight Henry "Hurricane" Mayes will defend his Maryland State Title against Mike "The Persecutor" Paschall on Friday, September 11 at Du Burns Arena in Baltimore. We have also been told that Mark "TNT" Tucker of Eldersburg may go after the vacant USBO Light Heavyweight title on Friday, September 25 at Shipley Arena in Westminster. We'll keep you posted.
Of course tucker is going to fight for a title in westminister, where else would he fight for it!!
ReplyDeleteLets hope Reid has recovered from that debilatating back injury. To at least go three rounds!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou mean the back injury he got on June 11th, one day before he was supposed to fight George Rivera on June 12th? And he gets a contract to fight Lange in September and he receives that contract on June 12th? That back injury? Let me ask you something. If he received the contract to fight Lange on June 12th, can't you say with 99.99% certainty that he was contacted at least several days in advance of receiving the contract? And we're supposed to lay down and take this? Given the "fragile state" of Jonathan Reid's back I would like to assure Johnny and Jimmy Lange that George Rivera and Joe Hensley will be on deck ready to step in should the Reid-Lange fight fall apart. We'll be more than happy to knock you off your high horse and put you on your as*!
ReplyDeleteSigned,
Do I Even Need To Say It!
Another half dead fighter for Jimmy Lange to beat up on. Disgraceful.
ReplyDeleteSo this is a main event at the Patriot center? When is this charade going to end.Lange has had thirty fights and he is still fighting guys like this. These are people you build your career on not people your supposed to be fighting when your talking about fighting for a title. This Patriot center thing is just a big phisod.
ReplyDeleteEverybody sucks up to the langes just about the time they start putting the fights together for the show and then after the show everybody starts talking shit about
them again. This is a subject that someone could and have expounded upon before.Hey all you ass sucks
make your own way in boxing and quit swinging from somebody elses nuts you bunch of unloyal losers.
Just wondering joe how it feels when somebody fucks up all your plans?
ReplyDeleteThey tell me that what comes around goes around.
You tell Johnny Lange that, what goes around comes around. I've never screwed anybody around, NEVER! And those are the facts. That's why I can come on here, say what I say, defend what I say, sign my name, and hold my head high. What they did to me and to George will never be forgotten and it shows that the Lange's are not to be respected. I challenge you to find one person, just one, who will come on this site, sign their name, and say that I screwed them. There won't be one legitimate post, I can assure you.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Joe H
Why would a possible bout with Jimmy Lange on Sept. 26 have prevented Jonathan Reid from honoring his commitment to fight Rivera on June 12th?
ReplyDeleteWhile it is easy to blame the Langes, I haven't heard that from anybody in a position to know, and I have talked with more than a few.
Reid would have had plenty of time to rest and recover, and the Major League card wouldn't have drawn business away from the Patriot Center card. The two shows were/ are different sizes serving different markets. If anything, an impressive showing by Reid in June might have encouraged some of those at the Major League show to make the road trip to the Patriot Center in September.
The real competition for boxing promoters is not other boxing promoters, but rather MMA promoters, concert promoters, and every other promoter who is competing with boxing for that shrinking pool of live-entertainment dollars.
A disappointing turnout at one boxing promoter's card doesn't strengthen the turnout at another promoter's card, provided they are not scheduled on top of each other. And it certainly doesn't make it easier for any boxing promoter to recruit sponsors and contradict the sentiment that boxing is a dying sport.
Finally, a word about Joe Hensley in response to some of the comments posted anonymously. The article I wrote for this blog a while back about a possible Lange-Rivera matchup wasn't planted by Joe or coordinated by Joe in any fashion. He didn't even know I was writing the article until after I had cleared it with Gary "Digital" Williams, and then called Joe for comment.
Good luck to Joe on the next Major League card, and good luck to the Langes at the Patriot Center on Sept. 26. Both have developed a professional boxing market in venues that never had it before. That is a difficult feat, for which they both deserve credit.
Joe Hensley, you say you never screwed anyone over, but what about me? I went to high school with Joe and Joe was c aught stealing money from students out of their gym lockers. Joe used to skip gym class and sneak into the locker room, pry open lockers and steal wallets. He stole my wallet, which had $100 in it. Hensley got caught with a stash of wallets in his school locker, over 50 of them, one of them mine. Once a thief, always a thief. Hensley is rotten to the core and can't be trusted. Buyer beware.
ReplyDeleteChris have you ever promoted a professional card before?
ReplyDeleteHypothetical situation. What if Rivera stops or cuts Reid bad and the commissions or even Reid feels it wouldn't be enough time for a serious cut to heal.Or even if George beats Reid by decision then it gives the Lange vs Reid fight no credability. It appears that you are just another nut swinger trying to stay on the good side of the Langes. Have you ever fought or promoted or anything other than sit back and been a critic of the sport or the people in it.
Signed your friend
Gilligan
OMG! I can't believe someone would say that about Chris Nicholson!
ReplyDeleteNow I know someone is definitely unraveling.
Yes I mean the PHANTOM back injury. You know I couldn't resist. I am was just getting the ball rolling.
ReplyDeleteWell Mr. Nicholson sounds like "you can't handle the truth."
The fact is Reid-Rivera was scheduled for June 12th, then on June 10th or 11th Reid gets a BACK INJURY.
Now any fighter worth a grain of salt wouldn't be doing anything other than packing for the trip to VA. He must have hurt it lifting his suitcase.
Sounds fishy. Then he gets a contract for the Lange fight shortly after. Things that make you go MMMMmmmm. Now 3 months is certainly enough time for an ailing back to heal.
The timing of the entire situation leaves this unbiased person scratching his head. And I watch the dandruff fall.
It is very easy to blame Camp Lange becasue they are A$$ deep into the problem.
Now can I 100% say it is there doing NO I can't, but I know a handful of people who are very close to REID and they tell me he hasn't had any troubles with his back lately.
Simple math is the story.
Rivera fight $2,000 at best
Lange fight $8,000 at mid level.
6,000 reasons to sit out the Rivera fight.
but this is boxing.
Chris,
ReplyDeleteAs one poster accurately pointed out, after Rivera beat Reid there would have been no value in a Reid Lange matchup. Can you imagine what would be said on this site if Lange fought Reid after Rivera beat Reid? And only months after your Rivera vs. Lange article? Lange is fighting Reid because he was scheduled to fight Rivera and they wanted to screw that up. I was quoted on this very site as saying we'll beat the Contender Reid then we want the Contender Lange. They plucked Reid right from my June 12th show, cost me a lot of money, cost George a lot of money, and messed with George's schedule. George works a full time job and has a wife and two children. He scheduled time off of work for the fight and he didn't get paid for those days. George isn't a "full time fighter" like Jimmy Lange is but a lot of good it does Lange. He's just a bum who doesn't have a job and he still can't fight a lick. When Reid had this "back injury" then George doesn't fight on June 12th and misses that pay day as well. Like I said, if Reid has another injury we'll be waiting in the wings ready to take care of business.
Thanks,
Joe Hensley
stop crying.
ReplyDeleteInteresting comments all around. My previous posting wasn't in reference to the legitimacy of Jonathan Reid's back injury, but to whether or not the Langes were pressuring Reid to welsh on his obligation to Major League Boxing.
ReplyDeleteThat is a serious charge, and would be a huge badge of shame for the Langes if true.
If Reid had lost to Rivera, the Langes would have just gotten another opponent for September. But if Reid had defeated Rivera, it would have been a major PR boost for a Lange-Reid matchup in September. It would have been in the Langes' interest for the June fight to have gone on as planned.
My point is that Lange could find another Jonathan Reid a lot easier than Reid could find another Jimmy Lange.
I neither know Reid nor have any contacts in his camp, so I don't claim to know what is in his mind. But if the back injury were phantom, it would seem that the incentive would be Reid's, not the Langes'.
P.S. To Gilligan, peace. Look me up in the media row in September(usually right in front of the "bike racks' by the ring)or at the weigh-in. I'd like to meet you.
You almost have to wounder who did all the crying when the Jimmy vs Jimmy Leblanc match was supposed to happen, then you get all this trash talk about Jimmy and Rivera match. Any way you look at it Rivera would need some more matches under his belt to even make it a fight somebody would wanna pay for or care about..
ReplyDeleteI wanna put my boxer up the ladder right away with out having matches under your belt never fills seats that well.
You can say one thing for sure its fun reading some of this finger pointing, almost like meet me in back of the school, he said she said.
I often wondered who did all the crying about Lange-Leblanc!!
ReplyDeleteI cried ( I prefer belly ache ) about the fight never happening, as it was supposed to on 4 different occasions, but thats boxing. We still would love a shot at Jimmy Lange hi-reward, low risk fight. We would love to fight Rivera as well. Nicklow, Jeter, and even CUJO.
ReplyDeleteNot saying we will beat any of them, but we will happily fight them.
Did leave anyone out?
Who is CUJO?
ReplyDeleteOh it's true, it's damn true!
ReplyDeleteKurt Angle
The North Carolina Boxing Commission were the ones that squashed the Lange-LeBlanc bout. I talked to the promoter of that card and he was very disappointed in that bout not taking place.
ReplyDeleteYes they NC Commission squashed the fight...It was after several phone calls complaining about the match up.....At first they approved it. Then weeks later disapprove it. As it was told to me they recieved outside complaints about the quality of the match up.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know who complained about it. But what can you do. Both Jimmy's I think want to fight each other, lets just let them fight.
I find that strange the NC commision would squash that fight. The NC commission are always sanctioning main event mismatches.
ReplyDeleteI am miffed as to why
ReplyDeleteIf mismatches alone were enough to get a fight quashed, then folks like Reggie Strictland and Benji Singleton wouldn't have four fights between the two of them, much less their 400+ (no, I didn't mistakenly add a zero) total.
ReplyDeleteChris you didn't answer the question .Have you ever promoted pro shows or fought any pro fights .
ReplyDeleteI don't give a damn about how many magazines or newspapers you may have written an article for, have you ever paid any real dues in this sport.Anybody can sit back with a pen and a piece of paper and write down their opinion on a matter. The easiest thing in this world to do is be a critic.

ReplyDeletewe will never know the answer to whether the langes tampered with reid or not because Reid is not going to tell and the Langes aren't going to tell and so on.
But I think all of this talk sure helps the fight night at the patriot center because 40 or 50 extra people will be there to see if Joe Hensley shows up to punch Johnny Lange in the face.
I have heard talk on this website for years now and nobody has punched nobody in the chops so far.
I can see Hensley and Johnny Lange
crashing through the audience and rolling on the floor pulling each others hair out and biting the shit out of each other and somebody losing their earings and fake gold chains.
I would have to go with Johnny Lange by first round stoppage because he would pull some shit out of the dirty bag of tricks. And he has a lot of dirty tricks.
Don't anybody count that old hillbilly out. He puts a beatdown on Jimmy about twice a week when he gets out of line.
Sorry Brian no way you'll ever get Jeter in the ring.Well unless you got a guy that weighs about 110 has a record of 0-40.Oh yeah and he has to be atleast 50 years old. Then you might have a chance.Well plus you will have to pay him atleast 25,000 to get his ass whipped.Sorry Brian no way Jeter is fighting one of your guys.
ReplyDeleteGive it up, Skippy. To say that Chris Nicholson's (or anybody else's) opinion is valid only if they have been a boxer or promoter is absurd.
ReplyDeleteLook at Gary Williams or Jerome Spears or Burt Sugar, and name me any boxer comes close to their level of analysis and insight.
I can think of one, perhaps, Sugar Ray Leonard. And even his comments, while rich in color and historical perspective, are not what I'd describe as analytic.
Going with your logic, there would be only four people alive who would have any right to criticize President Obama.
I would give Johnny Lange vs Joe Hensley the win to John in the first! would not be mush hair pulling in the match :) John would smack Joe with his real gold chain Joe would try to use his fake gold chain to smack John back but Joes chain would fall apart from being cheap fake gold, So knock with the real gold chain to John in the first. Thats my story and I am sticking with it.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you had the intestinal fortitude to tell Johnny that to his face when you met him, anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI dealt with him before and we didn't see eye to eye. However we agreed to disagree, shook hands and walked away.We were both up front and straight forward.
Joe Hensley, you say you never screwed anyone over, but what about me? I went to high school with Joe and Joe was caught stealing money from students out of their gym lockers. ReplyDeletethere are alot of fighters that have their opinions but their to busy fighting right now.when their done I'll have them give you a call on the tele.Remember this all it takes to be a critic is an opinion.youve got yours and I've got mine.
ReplyDeleteThirston Howell the Third
It's obvious Rivera's fight was stolen from him. Makes me wanna see Rivera v Lange even more. I don't know all the analyzers anonymous mentioned, but I think Bert Sugar is utterly useless. They are drawn to the sport but can only spectate, they analyze because the wish they could fight.

Joe and Johnny had this planned all along and everybody took it hook line and sinker.

I'm not kissing anybody and we don't have a contract yet. I only have an offer for November. We have no respect for them which is going to make it that much sweeter when Rivera knocks Lange out in November.

ReplyDeleteFrom Washington City Paper, Cheap Seats Column written by Dave McKenna:
ReplyDeleteFighter Jimmy Lange, profiled in last week’s Cheap Seats column, is getting called out in the comments section of Boxing Along the Beltway, a fabulous local boxing site. Fans and handlers of fellow light middleweight George Rivera are talking up Rivera and talking down Lange in hopes of forcing a fight between the two.
Lange, the most popular fighter in the D.C. market by way of his appearance on the NBC reality show, The Contender, and his well-attended and -received shows at the Patriot Center, needs a fight, now that North Carolina boxing regulators refused to sanction his scheduled July 25 bout with Jimmy LeBlanc (record: 12–16–4, with 10 of the losses coming in his last 12 fights).
I’d never heard of George Rivera before this. But the back and forth between the Rivera side and the Lange side is enough to make me wanna see these guys go at it.

ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI'll answer that one for you and take the heat off of Gary because Gary is a truly nice person. Gary also knows that I am a nice guy and he knows that I won't get angry or upset if he picks against my guy, which he probably will. I don't think there are too many people out there that you can say that about and you certainly can't say that about Johnny Lange. If Gary picked George Rivera over Jimmy Lange, Gary would be blackballed for life from their show. Gary has picked against my guys several times and I've had Gary and Jerome work at least 4 of my events in an announcing capacity. They are 100% free to say want they want to say because I know that they are truly dedicated to the sport of boxing and their heart is always in the right place. I know that someone asked a similar question about Rivera vs. Ishmail Arvin and Gary said that he thought Arvin would beat George and probably stop him. Of course I disagreed with him and after George beats Lange, an Arvin fight makes perfect sense for us. I've got a good memory and I know that ACW, Brian Dillon, Asim Anif, and Justin Ridgway have all picked Lange over George Rivera. I've got a "surf and turf" side bet with Asim and I am open to similar wagers with anyone else on the Rivera-Lange fight. I am 100% open for everyone posting their opinion and signing their name to the subject as to who they think will win the fight. As I said before, I hope everyone picks Lange because perhaps then he will actually go through with the fight. Also, we only have a verbal offer from a member of the Lange campe for a November fight. We don't have a contract and I don't trust most of those guys as far as I could throw them. We have no respect for them, they are not worthy of our respect, and we look forward to showing that George is a better fighter than Jimmy Lange sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Joe Hensley

ReplyDeleteJonathan Reid just sneezed and an eye ball popped out! emergency surgery.
ReplyDeleteFight again is in jeopardy after the sneezing as he chewed back injury almost made him postpone yet another venture in the great state of Virginia.
Eddy,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have some dissension in the ranks and somebody needs to come clean over there. It could be one of only five people over there. I have respect for two of the five people over there and this is one of those persons that I respect. And it's not Johnny Lange or Jimmy Lange so that should narrow it down to one of three people for you.
Take care,
Joe H
Joe a wager isn't needed on my end! I think Lange may win a close one. I can live with the Turf no Surf for me. Allergies!!!
ReplyDeleteDo a show up this way. I hate travelling to fights after my Winchester fiasco!
Eddie inquiring minds want to know?
ReplyDeleteBrian Dillon you are talking alot of shit on this website.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to think about some of the things you are saying.
Well my comments aren't meant to hurt, defame, or call anyone out. It is just good old fashion ribbing and pot stirring. If I have talked sh?t in the past I must apologize. It has never been my intent or done anonymously.
ReplyDeleteAnd if so can you point me towards the entries were I talked sh?t in the past, i will happy to re-cant and offer apologies to anyone who are offended.
Now I just read this particular posting and I haven't seen anything with an odor.
ReplyDeleteAnd if it is reference to the winchester fiasco, I would say driving half way to Roanoke before you reaalize you are lost is a fiasco!
ReplyDeleteTo anonymous,
ReplyDeleteHow am I a scumbag, you anonymous coward? I sign my thing to everything I say. When you have the truth on your side, as I have, and you treat others fairly, as I have - there is no need to hide. I have proof that the Lange camp stole the Jonathan Reid fight away from George Rivera and my promotion. Now how would you feel about that? Why don't you call me a scum bag and sign your name, your real name, and then maybe you can have a little respect for yourself.
Until then, I will not respond to anonymous posts bashing me personally.
Thanks,
Joe Hensley
Joe don't respond to them any way.

Joe,
ReplyDeleteI am not a Hensley or Lange basher.
I AM though, very interested in seeing
the proof you have.I think that would end much of this idle hogwash.
Respectfully to Joe Hensley,
ReplyDeleteI am not going to give my name
because I don't want to get into a war of words with anyone. I've been
involved in boxing for over 40 years & I think I know the game
pretty well. I have worked with many fighters, trainers, managers & promoters. Several of the fighters have become world champions.
For what its worth your comments on
Jimmy Lange, particularly in calling him a bum & saying he can't
fight are uncalled for. It is
obvious he has talent.
If this happened after a fight was signed for between Jimmy & Rivera
I could see some advertisement value in statements like that.
I see where you say you have offered to promote the fight. Have you sent a proposal or a
contract out to the Langes proposing this fight? If you haven't maybe you should. If you have & they have turned you down
then maybe you should accept that
and move along.
I know how fighters are moved
& will refrain from giving my opinion of a Lange-Rivera fight.
As far as interfering with your
show with Jonathan Reid on it I
think you have done a lot of accusing with little proof.
I do not know you personally and
probably wouldn't care to, but I do know Johnny & Jimmy & it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to
back your statements on both the Reid situation with proof & your
desire to promote a Lange-Rivera fight with a proposal to the Langes
& a written contract stating your offer.
As far as some of the things said
about Johnny, people who have known him, myself included, would probably agree, he is no saint. But
he does not dabble in the small time games that you refer to.
No disrespect to you Mr. Hensley
but you are nowhere close to being in the same league as he is, good
or bad.
Hope George thinks a little bit about his future and whose hands
he puts it in.
I think I will answer the question about Lange vs. Reid. Lange vs. Reid is not a great bout, but it is a decent bout. Reid has won only once in 11 bouts, but at one time he was a title contender, losing to William Joppy in a title bout.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bout that Lange should win handily and it would put a name on Lange's record.
That would leave a decision for the Lange camp to make. Do they want to make money or head for a world title?
If they want to strictly make money, than a Lange-Rivera bout at the Patriot Center in November makes a lot of sense. It will draw well here, especially with all the conversation about it.
But if the Lange camp wants to sincerely head to a title, there is a lot of risk and little reward in a bout with Rivera. Why would the Lange camp with a fighter who has 30 wins take on a guy who has 14 total fights?
If Lange wins, he's supposed to. If he loses, he permanently is derailed as a legitimate world title contender. Although I would pick Lange in a bout against Rivera, it's not a gimmie if the Rivera who fought Jessie Nicklow the second time around shows up.
I went to high school with Joe Hensley and thought important to let everyone know of his character. Joe was caught stealing money from students out of their gym lockers at our school. Joe used to skip gym class and sneak into the locker room, pry open lockers and steal wallets. He stole my wallet, which had $100 in it. Hensley got caught with a stash of wallets in his school locker, over 50 of them, one of them mine.
ReplyDeleteBush league promotions
ReplyDeleteA few things -
ReplyDeleteTo anonymous that said respectfully Joe Hensley. I have said on at least two occasions that I would be more than happy to promote a Rivera vs. Lange fight. I will not contact Lange in the near future because, as you know, he is scheduled to fight in September. Plus, they have already agreed to fight Rivera in November. Of course the Lange's did not show me the same professional courtesy as they contacted Jonathan Reid before his scheduled fight with George Rivera on June 12th.
As far as your condescending tone and saying that "Lange doesn't dabble in small time games" and "I am nowhere in the same league as Lange". I don't need to prove myself to you and you don't know one thing about me. I am a conservative businessman who loves and respects the sport. I don't need to put shows on in 10,000 seat venues that have 8,000 empty seats and say that 5,000 people paid to see it. You will not see a lot of unnecessary props or frills at my show. I know how to handle my money because I worked awfully hard to get it and I won't waste it on things that do not work.
Now, on to your comment of "how George handles his future and whose hands he puts it in". Sounds like something Johnny Lange would say. In fact, he has said something similar to me on several occasions. Sure you're not Johnny Lange? That comment shows you know zip about the sport, whether you've been involved in boxing for 40 years or 4 seconds. George turned pro in 2007. He had seven fights that year alone. He had 5 fights in 2008 and he became the first Virginia based boxer to fight on live national television in a featured bout (i.e. not a swing bout) since Jimmy Lange and Dorin Spivey in 2003. In 2009 George has had two fights but would have had two more if not for an injury and Lange's tampering in the Reid fight. George has a great trainer and manager in Bruce Frank. His name isn't Angelo Dundee, or Buddy McGirt, or Pepe Correa, or Don Turner, so Johnny Lange probably doesn't think he's worth a crap, but he's the man, I can assure you.
Now, on to Digital's comments on a Rivera-Lange fight. I'm glad you gave your opinion on the fight. You know you could have told me anything on the fight and I would have been okay with it, even if it was "Lange will knock Rivera out in 2". But Johnny Lange is different. Just you saying that a Rivera-Lange fight is not a "gimme" for Jimmy Lange is enough to get on Johnny Lange's bad side. But that's okay, keep on saying what you're saying, doing what you're doing, and reasonable people will recognize and be tolerant of a difference in opinions. If they are not reasonable people, screw 'em!
And finally, one other thing that "respectfully Joe Hensley" said when I referred to Jimmy Lange as a "bum when it was obvious he had talent". Jimmy Lange is ordinary and average in every way. He's just a regular run of the mill guy. Lange's not going anywhere. George will beat the crap out of him in November and if he can't beat Jimmy Lange then he ought to get out of boxing. I am glad that it was someone from the Lange camp that I respect that gave us the offer to fight Lange in November. We'll see if it actually materializes or not. Jimmy Lange is not the be all end all for George Rivera. We always talk to George about fights that build your career and getting from point A to point B to point C. Point A is the building stage of a career. Point B is contender status. And Point C is becoming a World Champion. Right now Rivera is at Point A and a win over Jimmy Lange will take him from Point A to Point B. Fights will be tougher at Point B which is why we will consider Ishmail Arvin, Purcell Miller and the like after we beat Lange in November.
Thanks,
Joe Hensley
LANGE VS GREED(REID)
ReplyDeleteSMELLS BAD, BUT IT IS FUNNY
HOW RIED WAS SET TO RE-VAMP HIS CAREER- WITH WINNABLE FIGHT AGAINST WAR TIME RIVERA
AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND THAT FIGHT WE GOING TO SHOOT FOR A
LANGE VS WINNER- THEN BINGO
FOR THAT LET JUST DO LANGE VS REID.
@ 34-11 1-10 LAST 11 REID
NEEDED A WIN( AT LEAST WINNABLE) FIGHT B4 ANOTHER LOSS(WELL) FRESHER FIGHTER
VS COMING OFF INJURY(WINK) FIGHTER
ON PAPER A GAME PLAN WAS IN PLACE- 34-12 IS NOW SET UP!
Gary thanks for your opinion on the matter and I agree with you 100% on every aspect of your opinion.
ReplyDeleteWho is George fighting on your show Joey? In the last five fights George is 2-3. Who has George lost to? Now look at Jimmy’s record and who he’s fought. It doesn’t even compare. Do you think he deserves a fight against a top fighter like Jimmy and he can’t beat the likes of Rodney Green?
ReplyDeleteHey dumbshit, Jonathan Reid has lost 10 out of 11! And unlike Reid Rivera has actually beaten some good fighters! Let 'em go at it, I wanna see it!
ReplyDeleteWhat do Charles Norwood and Rodney Green have in common? They are both D level fighters and the both beat George.
ReplyDeleteJoe Hensley gave my ex girlfriend the clap and then when she confronted him, he said so what and that he had Penial warts too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sick promoter he is! Stay away from Wartsy.
Joe you have got to know that everybody is going to take a stab at you as well as Johnny on this.
ReplyDeleteJust let them have their fun and they'll get tired and go to bed.
Nobody wins in this situation.
Alot of talent in this area can't we all just get along.
Rodney King
Thank you my friend. I have made my point and we have been promised the Lange fight for Rivera in November. We'll see what happens.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
JH
Joe,
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you respond to the fact that you stole my wallet in high school?
Scott Flynn
Well the 26th will be a good time and Mason is the place to really start hyping the much bally hooed fight between Lange-Rivera.
ReplyDeleteAfter Langes disposes of Reid, George can get into ring and do the stare down stuff. At that point the announcement should be made of the fight if it is fact is gonna happen.
Here's my thought on all points on the Rivera and Lange/Reid fight.
ReplyDeleteReid jump for the the biggest purse. Hmmm doesn't make it right but that's what happen.
Lange you are a good fighter it makes since to do the Reid thing to get that name under your belt.Hmmm doesn't make it right but it's about to happen.
With that said:
Rivera vs Lange would be a great matchup I hope it happen in Nov. I'll bring about 30 people with me easy.ALL FRONT ROW.
George your my BOY no secret here.
I truly think you can do your thing against Lange or Reid. Right now you stay focus on the fight at hand.
If everything I have read on this page is somewhat true then you'll get your shot at Lange in Nov.
I'll see you in Lynchburg.
Rome
George just lost to Rodney Green? What make's you think he will be able to stand in the same ring with Jimmy Lange? Greens record is 7-6.
ReplyDeleteshut up rome! rivera would get killed! keep teaching your cardio classes, and leave this stuff alone!
ReplyDeletelange is a bum leave the patriot center and box
ReplyDeleteThe card appears to be shaping up nicely.
ReplyDeleteC'mon everyone. Does anyone outside the DC area know or care about Jimmy Lange and George Rivera. Just a couple of regional fighters who have no interest, or the ability, in actually working towards becoming true contenders. The DC area would be much better served focusing on legitimate local fighters.
ReplyDeletefirst of all , jimmy is a world class fighter.. you all are all jealous at the fact that his management has been top notch and not thrown hin to the wolves like most fighters. the only time jimmy didnt deliver was agianst Gilbert aned he was on all sorts of Drugs..I hope he fights rivera so all of these real bums from god knows where shut up.. Jimmy crushes him...Its funny becuase i know many world class fighters who would testify to the fact that lange is in fact a very good boxer.. on another note all these clowns talking shit about johnney and jimmy and the management probably kiss his ass in public.. Typical-- Just buy your tickets and keep contributing .. we are trying to get richer....
ReplyDeletei mean seriously , johney richard could beat Rivera on a good day..i d pay top dollar for that .
ReplyDeleteJimmy Lange cannot be called a "world-class" fighter since he is fighting such dismal opponents. Since the Gilbert fight, Lange's opponents have a combined 7-17 record in their past 6 fights before fighting Lange. And the four opponents had only one, just 1, combined KO in those 24 fights. And now Jimmy Lange is fighting a guy who has lost 10 of his last 11, hasn't won since May '06, and has no KO's since Jan. '04. Give me a break.
ReplyDeleteGiven the lack of any quality opponents, Jimmy Lange cannot be considered "world-class."
thanks for pointing out the obvious jerk off.. i dont need to hear all the stats on these opponents..that doesnt justify your argument.. the bottom line is Lange has never been stopped except by a juiced up , amphetamine junky who admitted that he was on the shit for that fight.. true the opponents are a little suspect, but that doesnt mean that they dont come to fight. - For most of lange opponents it s the biggest fight of their careers..see ya at the fight ALEK
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm glad you agree, the opponents are "a little suspect." Actually they are very suspect. C'mon, Lange fought a draw with Fontaine Cabbell, that's not world class.
ReplyDeleteAnd No, you will not see me at the fight. I don't pay money foir scam set-up fights.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Scott!!
