There is a very revealing article concerning undefeated Eldersburg, MD light heavyweight Mark "TNT" Tucker on the website Digital Sports. The story tells how Tucker overcame injuries in a house fire a few years ago that could have halted his boxing career. Tucker headlines the Friday, June 5 card at the Shipley Arena in Westminster, MD when he faces Andre "Da Heat" Hemphill, who originally fought out of Woodbridge, VA but now calls Philadelphia, PA.
What's fitting about this article is that the reporter who wrote it knows a little bit about overcoming as well. The author is noted boxing and scholastic writer Lem Satterfield, who recently battled a rare form of cancer. I recently talked to Lem and the former Baltimore Sun reporter is doing quite well.

tucker is doing great! it shows u that u do not have to be a good amateur in order to be a good professional. i seen tuker get the living day lights beat out oh him in the amateurs just about every week. i think his amateur record was 17 wins with 83 losses. but with hard work and dedication he is ready to box a top contender. keep up the good work tucker===
