Seal, McRae, Samuel Victorious in Ruther Glen!

My apologies for the late posting, but BATB Headquarters is having internet difficulties. Here are the results from the Major League Boxing card at the Virginia Sports Complex in Ruther Glen, VA.

Hometown boxer Adam "The Real Deal" Seal scored a first-round TKO over late sub Scott "The Body Snatcher" Hossaflook of Edinburg, VA. Seal dropped Hossaflook twice with right hands and Hossaflook also suffered a cut over his right eye, before referee Chris Wollesen stopped the contest at 2:59 of the round.

Seal raises his record to 7-1, six KO's while Hossaflook falls to 2-4.

Also on the card, Maryland Super Featherweight champ Tyrell "Da Show Shock'A" Samuel of Baltimore stop the always-tough Edward "Nuckie" Anderon of Richmond, VA in the fourth-round. Samuel remained in control throughout the first four rounds with short but powerful combinations. The 48-year-old Anderson had to take several hits for every punch he managed to land. Samuel continued to generate multiple hits to the head and body before referee Wollesen stopped the fight via TKO at 2:23 of the fourth round.

Samuel is now 12-2, six KO's while Anderson is now 4-15, three KO's.

Another Baltimore prospect, junior middleweight Cecil McCalla stopped Eric "Fast Hands" Burke of Columbus, OH in the first round. McCalla rained down a constant stream of thunderous left hooks that floored Burke twice in the first round. At 54 seconds of the second round, referee Rick Ellis called a halt to the bout.

McCalla remains undefeated with a record of 8-0, three KO's while Burke is now 6-22-2, five KO's.

In a heavyweight rematch, Laurel, MD's "The Big Ticket" Dwayne McRae won by third-round disqualification over "The People's Champion" Jonathan Felton of Stafford, VA. Felton, who’s had a history of unsportsmanlike conduct, spent most of the fight grabbing McRae around the waist, jabbing low, and refusing to obey the commands of referee Ellis. At one point during the fight, McRae shouted explicitly, “I told you to stop!” Even after being deducted one point, Felton continued to jab McRae after being commanded to stop. Felton was finally disqualified at 2:49 of the third round for excessive holding.

McRae is now 4-0, three KO's. Two of those victories have come against Felton, who is now 6-16, five KO's.

Also, WBO Latino Super Middleweight champion Issac Rodrigues of Brazil survived a first-round knockdown and came back to stop a tough Brad Austin in the second round. Austin dropped Rodrigues with a straight right hand, but Rodrigues was able to survive the round. But in the second round, Rodrigues turned the tables and knocked Austin down twice with two left hooks. Referee Wollesen stopped the bout at 1:43 of the round.

Rodrigues keeps his undefeated streak going at 15-0, 13 KO's while Austin is now 8-8, five KO's.

Thanks to Joe Gradowski and Joe Hensley for the info.

  1. There was like 55 people there.Good job major league dick heads.Let me first start by saying Joe Hensley is an idiot for thinking Adam Seal could be a headliner on a show he is barely even a toughman, what happened to Juan Robles I would love to see him kickthe crap out of Seal.Secondly FAGO you should leave Hensley go to someone that can actually sell tickets.

  3. I was waiting to find out how long a Cujo thread could last before Justin "Green River" Ridgeway was brought up.

Has he had his SECOND fight yet?

  4. Green River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
    waiting 'round the bend,
    my huckleberry friend,
    Green River and me.

  5. Im just a fan reading this but Cujo calling Jeter a punk ass bitch and bed wetter and Jeter hasnt said one word. Jeter must have no sack at all. Or may be he doesnt read the sight. It embarassing that the guy has called Jeter out and hes nowhere to be scene.

  6. I fail to understand why Sigmon -- a light heavyweight -- is calling out Jeter -- a junior middleweight.

No disrespect, but it is nonsensical. There are enough super middles, light heavies and cruiserweights to keep Sigmon busy.

  7. Digital - you forgot that Sigmon said he would fight Jeter at 160. He wants to fight at 160 thts why hes calling out Jeter. Cujo is a 160 t0 170 lb fighter. Jeter is a 154 to 160 lb fighter. Let em meet in the middle and fight.

  9. Why would either guy jeopardize their career for some grudge? They are going to lose weight for little money? Ridiculous!

  10. It's obvious that Cujo is calling out Jeter because of a beef that his promoter has with Jeter. I personally think that Jeter would school Cujo at 160 if the fight could be made. However, Cujo is a lot bigger so the fight doesn't make much sense in reality. Also, I don't understand why Cujo & Hensley are so afraid of Green River Ridgeway. Maybe someone else can fill me in. He was underwhelming in his debut. Some skills but his pedigree is way less than proven. I do commend him on punking Cujo & his promoter though. I would've thought that Cujo wanted that fight. Curious to say the least. I think Ridgeway bluffed the shit out of them personally.

  12. Boxing is not about money to me,it is about proving to everyone I am the best from 160-175.I am a multi weightclass threat. As for Ridgway he is a bum and anyone who talks about him is wasting their time.Gary if you think boxing is all about money then you are contributing to boxing's down fall.It is not some grudge and it is not ridiculuos, after all we are fighters.I fight for the good of the sport, for the health of the sport, for the love of the sport!Champions are not made in gyms, champions are made from something that lies deep inside them,a desire, a dream, a vision.

  14. I've never met Cujo but he sounds like a very determined person. If Cujo wants to fight at 160 there's Julius Kennedy, Tracey Brewer, Jeremiah Wiggins and Cecil McCalla to name a few. An interesting fight at 175 would be against Otgonbayar Daivii.
I say this because Ridgeway only has 1 fight under his belt at middle and I don't see what would be proven.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Daivii is a talent that hasn't gotten too much attention but everyone will have too stand up and take notice soon and cujo wouldn't have a chance against him
    or anyone of that calibre.

  17. Hey Sigmon I just read the article on major leagues website where you were saying that Torris Brewer had faught nothing but Bums and had an inflated record. Is this the same good fighter that you said you beat.Make up your mind, either you beat a bum or you beat a good fighter, which is it.
I was a fan of yours but your talking just too much shit.
If you are the person you say that you are then just shut your pie hole and fight and quit trying to manipulate this website. You keep calling people out and something very ugly might happen to you.

  25. hey guys mark my word felton acts like a thug around the boxing circuit, and he will be shot, stabbed, and banned within the next 6 months if he doesnt get his street act together , i ve seen him run after fans/officials no respect for the sport....

  26. Cujo vs. Ridgeway is a good fight for ridgeway not Cujo. Ridgeway would beat him and that would ruin any chance of a money fight for cujo or joe ever happening. As far as him be underwhelming in his debut I am sure Calvin would disagree. Aughtrey fought against brewer and wiggins but would not attempt to fight against ridgeway and risk getting caught. Jeter will beat cujo at 160 ridgeway will beat him at 175lbs. When is Scott Farmers next show? Maybe he can get Jeter, Ridgeway, and Sigmon all on the card. I think cujo has a heart the size of a watermelon and whoever he gets matched with will be entertaining. Jeter has great skills and a lot of experience, Ridgeway is a strong young kid who could use distance, speed and power to make up for his lack of pro experience against cujo. Gary what would have to happen for a ridgeway vs. Cujo, and do you think it would be a good fight?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ridgeway will you shut up.Scott has nothing to do with you.Last time i talked to him he said he was not messing with you he was focusing on andrew. You cant fight and you talk to much. When is your next ESPN fight.Maybe you can get on jimmy laings next card. And when is your next fight.

  28. I have not said a single word on this blog until now, and all I am going to say is I have nothing to say. If I write it..... I put my name on it. I alteady know what Digital thinks of me and Cujo fighting, so I don't need to ask him about it. Also I am not even living in the area right now, and by the way it is Ridgway not Ridgeway.

    Thanks,

    Justin Ridgway
