DC's DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley scored a knockdown in the third round, but it wasn't enough as the former world champion lost an eight-round unanimous decision to undefeated Hector "El Flaco" Sanchez of Puerto Rico in front of a nationally televised ESPN2 audience at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, AZ.
Corley dropped Sanchez with a solid uppercut in the third and seemed to be doing well but lost his aggression in the later rounds. All three judges scored the bout 77-74. Terrible decision.
With the loss, Corley falls to 33-11-1, 19 KO's while Sanchez remains undefeated at 18-0, eight KO's.
