A couple of big bouts for Beltway Boxers outside the area this weekend.
On Friday, April 24, Takoma Park, MD light heavyweight Willis "The Prophet" Lockett (10-7-5, four KO's) will be battling New Castle, DE's Larry "The Laser" Marks (29-10-1, 16 KO's) in a six-round contest at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino in Dover, DE.
Then on Saturday, April 25 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Lamont Peterson (26-0, 12 KO's) of DC goes after the interim WBO Junior Welterweight title when he faces undefeated Willy Blain of France (20-0, three KO's) in a scheduled 12-round contest. The bout will be shown on HBO as the co-feature contest starting at 10 PM ET.
