Arlington, VA lightweight "The Mongolian Mongoose" Bayan Jargal remained undefeated with a first-round TKO over late sub Walberto Gaxiola of Mexico last night at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
The time of the knockout was 1:56 of the round. This was Jargal's debut bout under the Let's Get It On Promotions banner.
Jargal is now 10-0-1, seven KO's while Gaxiola is 7-6, three KO's and his three-bout winning streak was snapped.
This kid is one of the best young prospects in the area. If not the best. Watch for him in his next fight, February 14th in Reno. He will be on the undercard of the card promoted by Lets Get It O Promotions and TKO Boxing that features Jesse Brinkley vs. hometown and Contender 1 Series competitor, Joey Gilbert. He will be fighting Albert Rodriguez (8-1).The show will shown two or three weeks late on regional sports networks.

For all the haters that say I don't know boxing...I knew Jargal was the cat 1st time I saw him.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all. Willie, J.D. and of Course B A Y A N !
Thank you Chris for your comments about Bayan,I knew from the very first time I put him in to spar with William Joppy he was something special. He looked great in Vegas and the crowd loved him ,he passed the test from some very good Boxing critics,Michael Katz and Graham Houston Boxing writers,Eddie Mustapha a great trainer and Zab Judah who all thought he was awesome, he had Raefeal Garcia who works with Floyd Mayweather working his corner with Willie(who did a great job by the way)and Garcia made the comment this kid is going to be a CHAMPION.Thanks to all the supporters that Bayan Jargal has and hopefully he will represent Feb.14 in RENO Nevada with the same results.
ReplyDeleteDamn JD that's cold.
ReplyDeleteNone but my best to you and your camp.
Willie Taylor is the reason this guy is the fighter he is at this time. And it is willie who keeps him in good sparring.Others have assisted with management duties but Mr Taylor is the hub that this fighter revolves around.
ReplyDeletewillie have not done shit jd is the man, he sat up the sparring,he told willie what kind of work jargal should do,thats the only pro willie have,so what do he knows.
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy for the success of the Jargal team. Everyone is doing what they do best. JD is an excellent manager, Willie as a coach has consistently (for years) put out good product in the fight game...but it takes a special talent, and Bayan is just that.
ReplyDeleteCongrats and keep it goin!
