Snyder Wins Split-Decision Over Pryor in Cincinnati!

Big win for the "OC Bomber" Joshua Snyder last night in Cincinnati, OH. Snyder won an eight-round split decision over previously undefeated Aaron Pryor, Jr at the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University.

Pryor won by scores of 77-75 (twice). One judge scored the bout 79-72 for Pryor, son of the hall of fame welterweight champion.

The Snyder camp says that their boxer was able to get inside the taller Pryor and eventually won the crowd over. The Snyder corner also received kudos for their coaching abilities.

Snyder raises his record to 8-3-1, three KO's and he is unbeaten in his last four bouts. Snyder has also defeated four of the five undefeated boxers he has faced in his career (Earl Cole, Jimmy Lubash, John Mackey and Pryor). The only loss came in a tough eight-round majority decision to Jessie Nicklow in January of this year.

Snyder also pins the first loss on Pryor's career and he is now 11-1, eight KO's.

  1. Great win Snyder! Snyder also stopped the very durable Charles Norwood and he's only lost to Simon Odonnel (who is now 8 and 1), Latif Mundy (who is now 8 and 0), and Jesse Nicklow (who is now 19 and 1). This young man has developed in to a very solid professional boxer. Snyder now has high quality wins over John Mackey, Charles Norwood, Jimmy Lubash, Earl Cole, and now Aaron Pryor, Jr. WOW! Talk about tough competition! Congratuations to Josh and his camp in Salisbury, Coach Rick and the whole crew!
