The IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight title bout between champion Wladimir Klitschko and Hasim Rahman will be shown live on HBO from the SAP Arena in Manheim, Germany at 4:45 ET on Saturday, December 13.

Both men participated in a press conference today in Manheim. Here are some comments:

Wladimir Klitschko: "Hasim Rahman is a real challenger. For him it's probably his last chance at the title. He has certainly not come to lose....I'm prepared to go twelve rounds, but a clear win means an early win. It can happen in any round. I will try to win the fight as clearly as I can."

Emanuel Steward: "Wladimir has worked very intently. He knows what Rahman can do and takes him very seriously. We have big respect for Rahman, because he's a dangerous opponent."

Hasim Rahman: "I've learned from the past and I'm very well prepared. The area here is still Klitschko-land, but on Sunday morning this will be Rahman-land. I will win the fight early."

  2. Rahman had his one moment in the sun and other than that he has been a pretty good interview and a pretty average fighter. His last (and only) significant win was seven years ago against Lennox. If you are not from the Beltway, you don't even know who he is. Next week, he will be just another name on W. Klitschko's roster of losers.

  3. I don't think the fight is in Rahman's favor but lets try and support the Beltway. We know and see Rahman we don't know Klitschko. Show Rahman some support.

  4. When has Rahman shown the beltway any support? When has he had a big fight here? He had a great chance to put a huge spotlight on The beltway and B-more but he chose everywhere else.

  5. While Rahman never did defend his title in the area, he did bring a nice sized bout to the area when he fought Al Cole at Michael's Eighth Avenue.

It was the first live card from the Ballroom and it received good feedback.
