Jones Weighs 159 for California Bout Against Debuting Olympian!

DC middleweight Lawrence Jones weighed in at 159 pounds for his bout against 2008 US Olympian Shawn Estrada tomorrow night at the Citizen Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. Estrada tipped the scales at 163 1/2 pounds.

The bout will be on the undercard of the Paul Williams-Verno Phillips junior middleweight title contest.

  2. who is responsible for managing Jones' career? Whomever it is, Jones should have the right to sue him or her for malpractice. Smart move to serve Jones up to this guy in a fight that he has NO chance. I repeat NO CHAMCE of winning. Clearly someone is being paid here, and I hope that it is Mr. Jones. The purse should be between 2500 and 3500. plus medicals, two round trip airfares and hote and food. Any less and he is being robbed as well as knocked out. Who is the idiot who put his fighter in this fight?
