Buchanan Wins by TKO at the Playboy Mansion!

Capitol Heights, MD super middleweight Henry "Sugar Poo" Buchanan used a stunning body-head combination to stop Decatur, GA's Brian "The Assassin" Norman in the ninth round tonight at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, CA in front of a nationally-televised ESPN2 audience.

Buchanan steadily gained control of the bout before ending the contest with a brutal left hand to the body and right to the head that dropped Norman against the ropes. Referee Lou Moret stopped the bout at 1:02 of the ninth.

With the win, Buchanan is now 17-1, 12 KO's. Norman falls to 16-8, four KO's. This was the second time Buchanan has stopped Norman. Buchanan scored a third-round TKO over Norman in September of 2004 in Glen Burnie, MD.

  1. A few complaints, but a VERY solid performance by Buchanan, and a NICE TKO to finish it.

    Digital, 2 questions:
    1) How were you scoring it? I had Buchanan winning all but the third round.

    2) Do you think it warranted a stoppage? Norman seemed like he wanted to continue, and seemed like he could've.

  3. I think Buchanan was winning from the third round on. It was a steady, methodical performance.

I also think the stoppage was good, because Norman was being worn down and that was a nice combo by Buchanan.

I can't think of anyone else who looks like he's having as much fun as Poo while he's boxing. You make it look good boy!
