There are details starting to come in about the Baltimore Pro Boxing card on Friday, July 20 at DuBurns Arena in Baltimore.
Undefeated Dundalk heavyweight "The American Dream" Mike Dietrich is scheduled to take on Tallahassee, FL's Jerry "Ruffhouse" Simpson. Dietrich (9-0, four KO's) is coming off a third-round TKO over Darryl Holley on the last DuBurns card on June 22. Simpson (2-7-1, one KO) has not fought since November of 2006 when he lost a four-round unanimous decision to Octavious Smith in Morgantown, WVA.
The card is also scheduled to have the return of undefeated Baltimore super middleweight Mike "The Persecutor" Paschall (11-0-1, two KO's). Paschall is slated to battle Jacob Rodriguez of Philadelphia (8-17, six KO's). This will be Paschall's first action since March 10 when he won a four-round majority decision over William Gill at the Pikesville National Guard Armory. Rodriguez fought on the last Duburns card on June 22 and lost a four-round majority decision to Henry "Hurricane" Mayes.
Also slated for this card is the return of undefeated Baltimore heavyweight Adam "Boom Boom" Bloom, who has not fought since March of 2006 when he stopped Ryan Shay in Pikesville. Bloom (4-0, three KO's) is scheduled to face DC's Cecil Smith (1-1).
"The Golden Greek" Elias Bouloubassis of Reisterstown, MD is also scheduled to appear on the card. Bouloubassis (1-0-3, one KO) suffered cuts along his head during his first-round technical draw against Raquim Carter on May 11 at DuBurns. Bouloubassis will take on Bryan Branham (0-1).
The main event of the card will feature undefeated Severn, MD middleweight Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow (12-0-1, five KO's) against an opponent to be determined.
There will also be an amateur portion of this card that is scheduled to feature Golden Glove champions Jeremy Miller and Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell.
PAT,PAT,PAT MD. COMMISSION STILL LETTING THIS JAKE GUY GET OVER WITH LETTING HIS GUY'S FIGHT NOBODY WHEN WILL PAT STOP JAKE FROM DOING THIS . I WOULD NOT BUY A TICKET FOR A LONG TIME . GET REAL HAVE THESE FIGHTER'S FIGHT SOME BODY WITH WINNING RECORD'S . WHAT A JOKE THIS SHOW IS BULLSHIT , HORSESHIT , DOGSHIT
ReplyDeleteI understand this writer post Jake were is the black fighter's from the Md. area, well you have used Mayes up who will be next no black guy's on Jake show very , very sad.
ReplyDeleteFans can't have it both ways.
ReplyDeleteFirst, fans complain that the Beltway Boxers are getting tested too early and getting beat and their careers are getting stopped before they start (see last Ballroom card).
Now the complaint about this show and the Winchester show is that the guys are getting opponents that are too easy.
Which way do you all want it? It could be that some of our guys are getting good reputations that nobody with a similar rep WANTS to fight them.
The bottom line is that you can't have it both ways, so it's better off to celebrate how well these guys do then trying to criticize all the time.
Jake has used plenty of black guys on his shows. Cecil Smith from DC (who takes on Adam Bloom ON THIS SHOW) is black, as is Seth Mitchell who will be on the amateur portion.
ReplyDeleteLast time, Mitchell was on the show as was Mayes and Tim Coleman.
To play the race card against ANY of our promoters is just the mark of an uniformed person.
Believe it or not Gary it doesn't matter who fights, these haters are always going to complain, because these are the wanna be's that I spoke about earlier.
ReplyDeleteto anonymous who said "I understand this writer post Jake were is the black fighter's from the Md. area." Go to Rosecroft Raceway for the Keystone card on August 3rd.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to dignify that comment with a response except to mention the name of Tyrell Samuel, who comes from the Mack Lewis Gym.
ReplyDeleteUNCLE GARY Tyrell never fought on a Jake show he dosen't use black guy's from Baltimore were have you been stop trying to cover it up . You have Tyrell, Cory, Nick, Maxell again Jake will not use any one who he think's will get more attention than one of his white fighter's. Stop covering up for Jake
ReplyDeleteThis is sad, 1st of most of Jakes card's have prodominatly Black fighters on them. Look at his last card it started with Wright-Delgado (both black fighters), then Mayes-Rodriguez (1 black 1 hispanic), then Morrales-Hill (both black fighter), also dietrich-holly (1 white 1 black), also nicklow-clay (1 white 1 black) and Coleman-Pena (both black fighters), lets see that's 9 black fighter, 1 hispanic fighter, and 2 white fighters on jakes last card. SO what if you have more then 1 white boy on the card is that a crime. If there is a all black card thats fine right, so what if this card has a couple white boys on it. Jake has had several time tim coleman, henry mayes, matt hill, willy williams, nick collins, dale robinson-el, on and on. Leave it alone. the man puts on the best and the most shows in the beltway bottom line.
ReplyDeleteJakes May 11th card had 7 black fighters and 5 white fighters
ReplyDeleteMarch 10th had 6 black fighters and 6 white fighters
Jan 27th had 5 black and 5 white
Look it up on boxrec.com Jake hasnt had all white fighters yet. Get knowledge on the subject before you comment please.
Seth Mitchell will be fighting James Hillard from Kentucky. It will be James first fight ever.
ReplyDeleteHe said he wrestled in high school and can he believes he will do very well. Seth has had 5 fights now and is 3-2 in the novice division. Seth should win easly!
By the way Cory Cummings did indeed fight on a Jake Smith card when he lost to Barry Butler on Sept. 14, 2006 at Martin's West.
ReplyDeleteRace card, Race card when is this shit going to end, enjoy the sport for what it is and that's TWO FIGHTER'S getting in the ring and squaring off, no color needed.
ReplyDeleteSeth Mitchell is NOT 3-2....he has not lost nor has he had a draw. The guy is undefeated....
