You may have seen this in the comment section of an earlier post, but I can now confirm that Smithsburg, MD lightweight Dean "Pitbull" White (14-5-1, seven KO's) will take on Verquan Kimbrough on Thursday, February 22 (tomorrow night) at the Moutaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort in Chester, WVA. According to sources in the White camp, this bout will be a part of tomorrow night's telecast on the Versus Network (formerly the Outdoor Life Network) which begins at 9 PM ET.
The White camp is also hoping that a win against Kimbrough, a native of Aliquippa, PA (16-1-1, seven KO's) would lead to a rematch against Monty Meza Clay, who is also boxing on this card.
This card could get a lot of viewership because it also features two heavyweights that are trying to make comebacks from health-related career stoppages, Joe Mesi and, yes, Tommy Morrison, who will fight in a four-round bout.
Dean's fight will likely be televised
ReplyDeleteon Versus network around 9pm (2/22/07) That would be channel 153 on Dish Network. I think Channel 208 on Direct TV
On Direct TV it's 608 so I will there with you Dean good luck

ReplyDeleteYou know something? I thought Dean White won that fight pretty easily, at least 4 rounds to 2. Even the hometown crowd booed the decision. How about the announce crew for Versus? They're terrible, particularly Wally Matthews. I think that anyone that watched the fight objectively knows Dean won that fight. Keep your head up Dean, you won that fight!
ReplyDeletedid any body just see how bad dean got ripped off. he easily won the fight.the commentators, ref, the judges, they all sucked.
ReplyDeleteYO S F,
