Breaking News: Eric Aiken to Fight for IBF Featherweight Title!!

The news keeps getting bigger and bigger along the Beltway. In this Boxing Along the Beltway exclusive, NABA Featherweight champion Eric "Mighty Mouse" Aiken announces that he will be off the June 10 Hopkins-Tarver card.

Then Aiken announces something that you are hearing FIRST right here!! That announcement is his involvement in the biggest bout of his career; a world title bout versus IBF Featherweight champion Valdemir Pireirra on Saturday, May 13 in Boston, MA. Hear the announcement from Aiken himself here.

  3. Jason, the disappearance of Clarence Vinson has been a major mystery.

    I have talked to people who are close to him and they get very tight-lipped when you mention his name. There has been a question about whether he wants to do this anymore.

    About six months ago, I heard he had gone back to the gym, but since then..nothing.

    Tom, I think this could be a very good situation for Eric Aiken. Looking up Pereira's record, he has not fought too many people of significance. It could be that the champion has not fought anyone with Aiken's abilities. We'll have to hope for the best.

  4. Here's an inside tip. Mouse is in spectacular shape, hungry, and confident as shit. (Pardon me) He took relatively no shots in the Austin or, for that matter, the Edwards fight. He never stopped training for more than a day after those fights. His power and speed right now is better than ever. He WILL bring home that belt.
