Harrison Opponent Announced For December 8 Card; Jeter Off Show, Replaced By Fox!

There are some changes and additions to the Saturday, December 8 Keystone Boxing card at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Undefeated DC welterweight Dusty Harrison will still be in the main event and he will face Darrell Jones of Jacksonville, FL in a six-round encounter.  Harrison (10-0, six KO's) scored a third-round TKO over Nalo Leal on the last Convention Center card on November 3.  Jones (3-9-1, one KO)  is coming off a four-round unanimous decision win over Jahaad Wingfield on September 15 in Jacksonville.

BATB has also learned, however, that Stevensville, MD middleweight and WBC Fecarbox champion Tony "Mo Better" Jeter will not be on the card.  Coming off his big victory over Jimmy Lange in late October, there was a tough time finding an opponent for this card.  Also, sources tell BATB that Jeter is focusing on his own card that he is promoting in January.  By the way, Jeter recently rose to number 25 in the most recent WBC Middleweight rankings after his win over Lange.

Undefeated Forestville, MD junior middleweight Alantez "Sly Aza" Fox has now been added to the card.  Fox (7-0-1, three KO's) makes his return to action after his eight-round draw with Frank Galarza on September 22 in Queens, NY.  No word yet on who Fox's opponent will be.

Two other bouts have been finalized for the card.  Accokeek, MD middleweight "Swift" Jarrett Hurd (2-0, two KO's) will take on Anthony Jones of Jackson, TN (0-5) and "The King's Son" Jerry Odom of DC (1-0, one KO) will battle Norfolk, VA's Stanley Harvey (1-2, one KO) in a super middleweight contest. Both bouts are scheduled for four rounds.

These bouts have already been announced for this card:

Palmer Park, MD super featherweight Kevin "K-Smoov" Rivers, Jr. will take on Alan Beeman of Providence, RI in a four-round contest.  Rivers (2-0, one KO) is coming off a blistering first-round, only-punch knockout of Bobby Wooten on the November 3 Convention Center card. Beeman (0-5) was also on that card and lost a four-round unanimous decision to Renaldo Gaines

Clarksburg, MD junior middleweight Dillon "The Stalker" Hayman will battle the returning Ervin "Quiet Storm" Fuller of DC.  Hayman (2-0, two KO's) has scored first-round TKO's in both of his bouts.  Fuller (1-3, one KO) is returning after a 10-year hiatus.  Fuller's last bout was a third-round TKO loss to Billy Johnson in March of 2002 in New Carrollton, MD.

DC featherweight Shadeed Floyd returns to action as he faces the dangerous David Warren Huffman of Milwaukee, WI.  Floyd (1-0, one KO) hasn't fought since making his pro debut on May 12 at the Convention Center and scoring a first-round TKO over Tayshawn Autry.  Huffman (2-8-1, one KO) is 2-1-1 in his last four bouts, including a four-round draw with Charles Mack in Reading, PA on November 10.

Philip Jackson Benson, a New York native now training in Bladensburg, MD, will take on another boxer returning after a long absence in DC's Larry "Hitman" Pryor in a scheduled eight-round bout.  Benson (9-1, eight KO's) has registered two straight first-round knockouts. Pryor (7-8, four KO's) has not fought since pulling off a big upset in his last outing, defeating previously undefeated Mark Tucker by eight-round unanimous decision on March 12, 2011 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.

The last 2 fights listed will be worth the price of admission alone. Shadeed Floyd is a very talented fighter but is probably not a true featherweight and Huffman has fought as high as 140. I think Floyd's boxing ability will ultimately overcome the size difference but it could be a very entertaining fight.

Hopefully Pryor does not have too much ring rust because his fight against Benson could be a beltway fight of the year candidate if he's in the right shape. This could turn out to be a good card.

Keystone is losing all of its good fighters who sell so many tickets. Harold Parker, Tony Jeter, now what are they going to do? The shows will fail unless they put DC's favorite Harold Parker back on. Harold's fans want him back and are refusing to buy tickets unless he is fighting. Wake up Gene, get with the program. Hopefully, we will see Harold back on the list.

If they dont put parker brothers back on, they are going to lose them to virgina show. Watch what i say. Why let va get all of our money. Keep the parker brothers here.

He earns his fans the old fashion way. He fights! So stop hatin and enjoy the show. Stay home if you like.

Put some virginia fighters on the card and watch it sell out. Keystones shows are getting more boaring every show!

The fans want to see the best fight the best not the best fight cab driver's thats why keystone show's are fucked up we already know who's going to win before the fight even take place LOL

The only fighters worth seeing are the Parker brothers! Bring them back.

Dam Gene cut the Parker's off that's funny I thought those were his fighters that's some new news but I'm not shocked.

The Parker brothers are our hometown guys. They are the best fighters that DC has right now. I am not going to the show unless they are fighting. You will not get my money unless I know that The Parkers are fighting. I get my money worth when I see them fighting. Hopefully we will hear something soon. If not, the convention center is dead to me.

What happen with keystone and the Parkers they seemed so happy

Where did you get that info. Lange is still higher rated than Jeter. They did not fight for jimmys belts. Jeter is ranked 39th while lange is ranked 25th. Check it out at the updated rankings on boxrec.com. Why dont they just go one more time in the ring ?

Keystone shows sucks and stop talking about the Parker brothers. They shouldn't be the talk of the hour who have they fought? And one has a lost already! Lang shows sell better the keystone and have better fights. What needs to be changed is the fighters on the card and better fights

Anonymous said...

all of Keystones shows are sold out when Parkers are fighting. They are the draw in DC MD VA

Mark Johnson had a lost early and so did Bernard Hopkins and both became world champs so what are you saying plus Harold Parker is exciting to watch under the right management one of them brothers will become champ if not both of them and I beleive Barry Hunter is the answer for those kids.

u nailed it!

Flip fired Harold for no damn reason at all.

Anonymous said...

Thats not what I heard the Parker's got rid of Flip because he never shows up and he's always high or drunk so they moved on

Don't go by boxrec. They are not official. If you check the WBC ratings, Jeter is at #25.

Anonymous said...

what do you meen Boxrec is not official.
Now you want to say Box Rec is not official.More than once you have referred to box rec and their rankings for one reason or another.
Here you go again.Make up your mind Jack

Gary Digital Williams said...

I refer to a fighter's won-loss record with boxrec. I never refer to boxrec's rankings. I refer to the governing bodies.

Ms. Jones said...

OMG you guys are worse than us. Men always talking about girls gossiping. I know this is The Parker Family talking crazy. First of all, Flip didn't have time for games, you were told to find another trainer. Furthermore, you guys never sold out the place. It was just a combination of all the fighters together. You and your family need to move on and stop hating on the others. You have said bad things about Gene, Keystone, Flip, Gary & Boxrec, and all the other fighters. Even wished that one gets knocked out. You Parkers are sore losers and cannot stop hatin.

I tried to go beer for beer with Flip brother once and I shit my pants and passed out about 9:30pm and he was just getting warmed up. Those dudes are world class drinkers don't take them lightly. I owed them $35 when I woke up.

It can't be the Parkers because them niggas will put their names not anonymous they did it before so be careful about what u write about that family I know his father all he about is getting money his dam self and he's a good dude thats not his style.

Hey Parkers you could always go back to selling fake Iphones

Anonymous said...

first of all the phones were not fake nor stolen. no one has been charged with anything. you dont no shit. thats why u was fired. drunk

If it isn't really Danny Parker posting on behalf of his sons then whoever is trying to back them up on this message board isn't doing them any favors they are just making them look worse. If it is Danny then you would be lucky to get on any card again after this stupid shit. If your boys stay in the gym and stay ready, the the fights will find them they wont need to chase the fights. No one is scared of them.

Anonymous said...

I think thats Buddy

Anonymous said...

He probably mad cuz they left the gym, no exra money for his pockets. Lmao

Hector is not dead but in grave condition. Bullet is lodged in vertibrae and he is in very serious condition.

I just seen shooting on espn concerning camcho. He has had troubles with the law in the past. I am sure there is more to this story than we are being told. He was doing something wrong. People just dont shoot eachother for nothing.

Parkers are weak like clock radio speakers

Puerto Rico sources report that former world champion Hector “El Macho” Camacho remains in critical condition in the Rio Piedras Medical Center after being shot Tuesday night in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Adding to the complications, Camacho suffered a heart attack at about 4:15am this morning and doctors called his brain activity “rather low.” It is hoped that his fitness from being a professional athlete will help pull him through

Blogger is owned by Google. Google is known for keeping logs of almost everything which include IP addresses. It is so easy for Google to turn over the IP address for a certain comment, then Yes, that IP address could be associated with your ISP and your ISP could give them your information. It's an easy process and the comment would have to be fairly bad to warrant the interest of the government or law enforcement. There is a chance that the person running the blog could get your IP address on their own (there are various tools that allow them to view the visitors' IP addresses and city/state info), Assuming your ISP doesn't give out your personal information to any caller looking for information regarding an IP address, any interested can know exactly who and where comments are coming from.

When you understand the difference between rankings and records, then you will understand how I use boxrec. I don't even look at boxrec's rankings.

Anonymous said...

so you only go by half of what they say.
Rankings by any organization is the opinion of just one or maybe just a couple of people.
There are many fighters that don't get ranked that could just as easily be at the top of the list.
I would be interested in who you believe the top ten fighters are in the world or even just this country in each weight class.
maybe you could include this in your year end summary.

Whatever you read and whatever you watch these days about heavyweight Seth Mitchell, the idea of a title fight with a man named Klitschko will be mentioned. So before Mitchell enters the ring to face former cruiserweight Johnathon Banks, maybe it’s time for a reality check.

Mitchell is one of the most exciting and well-equipped American heavyweight prospects we have seen in some time. I also personally believe he has the tools, the work ethic and, most importantly, the upside to become a true contender and possibly a world champion. But right now, any talk of a Mitchell fight with either Klitschko - or any top five heavyweight in the world - is reckless and premature.

Let’s look honestly at where Mitchell is in his career. At 25-0-1 with 19 knockouts, he has yet to face an opponent that is anything more than…well, an “opponent.” That’s not to say Mitchell was not impressive against Timor Ibragimov last December or showed stiff resolve in his third round knockout of Chazz Witherspoon in April. Mitchell was staggered by Witherspoon and despite his impressive come back to beat Witherspoon, anybody who can honestly call Mitchell a contender and discusses a timeframe to face a Klitschko is just plain delusional.

Mitchell would slap the piss out of you.And thats for sure.
Why do you think your opinion is so valuable?
You are just another ugly mug trying to call yourself an expert.
You will write on these blogs for a couple years and then you will expect someone to think you know what to hell you are talking about.
Put on the gloves and climb between the ropes for 50 or 60 fights and then try 20 pro fights and then maybe by that time you will have learned enough to call yourself an expert.

You people who do nothing but write about this sport make me sick
and then I have to shit my pants
and then wipe the remains of you off of my leg.

if you really want to know then IP me
